A Windows Phone is the only handset I will consider as my next purchase, regardless of whether apps exist or not. My Lumia 930 running W10 is smooth as silk whereas my Moto G lags even performing the most basic task e.g web browsing

It's nice to read some positive comments about Windows 10 Mobile and future Surface devices, looks like all hope is not lost and I'm anxious to see what MS has in store for us real tech-heads.

AnonD-507785, 25 Nov 2016Well...I kinda hoped well for Microsoft, and then they lost... moreBy Microsoft, HP and Alcatel not submitting their Windows Mobile devices for CDMA certification, the companies will likely continue to experience miniscule sales figures.
Although never having been officially said, it is thought that these OEMs are not going to release any variants for Verizon Wireless, Sprint and US Cellular until each carrier has migrated traffic off of their legacy CDMA networks and onto their next generation equipment. Verizon Wireless is expected to be completed with its upgrade sometime in 2019.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2016Oh, you mean like Android and Apple do s well?anyone who hasn't used a windows phone, has NO IDEA what a really efficient and smooth phone should be like.. android is miles behind when it comes to efficiency.. its such a messy OS. Apple is very clean and fast, but has so many restrictions, it makes it virtually impossible to enjoy using it.. I will never change back to android or apple.. those are still mobile minded OS's while Microsoft, is focusing on the larger picture of being able to have windows at your finger tips at all times!

Well...I kinda hoped well for Microsoft, and then they lost me with their business model. They should really start listening to what people want. After all they want us to spend the money on their new toys. Problem with Windows OS is that it's closed environment and it lacks the app support (or it did). Even with all the improvements they did since launch, it looks like it is still too little...and too late. They've had a 5% market share, that they could use as a base to build on. Right now, with 0.4% things are looking very bad. So forgive me for being skeptical, but last few years MS is doing a lot of things wrong (Surface Studio looks like it could be a nice start and big change, but we will have to wait and see). I'll believe it when I see it.

zacm, 24 Nov 2016how Nadella killed Microsoft ? with sataya as ceo Microsoft... moreIt is sad to see that people think that a device that has success is a good one... I am talking about the system it self, and when i talk about destruction i talk about the fact that the only system that was good enough to be trusted, more then others, was compromised. Now i can use any crappy system cause their is no difference between them... Before Nadella, ms had at least a bit respect for it's customers, they saw, that respect brings them no money, so they decided to go groogle/crapple way. This is why Nadella destroyed Microsoft...

[deleted post]Hey bro, everything in the world must not resemble android, windows phone OS is unique and it is the best in my opinion.
The mail app on windows phones can read Gmail and all other mail platforms perfectly with advanced features too.
Please state the glaring social media apps omitted in windows phone OS. As far as I know, all social media apps are available on windows phone OS apart from snapchat (which is intentional).
It must have been a long time you used windows mobile OS, I think you should update yourself before commenting your thoughts to the world.

AnonD-322352, 25 Nov 2016I'm sorry Microsoft, but who cares if your "ultimate mobile... moreTrue.
Microsoft would need to exceed their beyond their 600,000 currently available applications to at least a million, and they would have to encourage people to move to Windows, since Android controlls almost 90% of the market already, and people wouldn't just leave Android or iOS with a snap.

I think Microsoft could do this thing:
* Drop Windows Mobile and stop developing and supporting it
* Make phones powered by Android, but add Microsoft apps to them
* Make Windows easy to use with Android and its apps, and viceversa
* Make an Android or Chromebook Surface
* Implement Cortana in their Android devices instead of Google Now (for better compatibility)
I think this could work :)

AnonD-5276, 25 Nov 2016r u serious? the ultimate phone? has anyone tried a micro... moreAfter switching from windows phone to android I must accept that except app selection I didn't find anything greater in android.. User experience is better in mid range and flagship droids.. In just 2 months my mobile is getting slow. With my lumia 730 I never felt slowness.. Yes It was rebooting automatically. But never stuck. Yet it was really capable. I feel sorry for mishandling it.. I like android app selection. It is something superior though I hardly use 10apps regularly..
