27 November 2016
A nearly even split between positive and negative votes shows the 3T is not universally respected as its predecessor.

It is strange that some people are not happy with this upgrade.
I mean here we have a company who wants to make the latest tech avaiable to everybody as soon as they can and still people are unhappy ?!

It is obvious that the 3T is not a upgrade for 3 users.

I don't get why people are getting passed over this, if samsung release a new note, it is never meant for the current s users to upgrade. For 40 bucks, you are getting the better chipset, better selfish camera, bigger battery and faster storage. It is for people that are using op2 or ip10 to upgrade. So op3 users, calm down, as you will get the update the same time op3t user would due to same chip set bio, so calm down.

I have this phone. The people making judgments will never know how great this phone is until they have it. Battery life is amazing for a phone this fast and powerful.

You can't try to judge this against the OnePlus 3. If you insist to do so, then you have to admit this phone is better, as it improves or maintains objectively on everything.

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2016Why do you like it? Nothing too impressive on specs, giant ... moreYes, Oneplus3 & 3T are awesome phones with no skinned UI. They will also get next year's Android update for sure, not sure about next year (Android 9) but only issue here in India is the poor service quality. In general, also Indian services center are not good, not at all on par with Europe and the USA and then these new companies have poor service which gets very frustrating at times. Still, other phones are expensive with only basic currency conversion.

For liking Pixel, for me the design is fine. Yes, it's a disappointing thing from Google to give only 2 years OS update support. Today's phones are easily capable of running smoothly for least 3 years. I liked the pixel camera a lot.

Moreover its an upgrade that no one knew was coming and the "Upgrades" they say arent that f*cking better than the current OP3.

Just have to flick through a few pages OP3 forum and have a pretty good feel of how the owners experience. I fear their development team just isnt as polished as it needs to be. Rushing update hot fixes one thing but then breaking another...

I am not at all shocked by poll results.h ope it serves as an eye opener for One+. It's good to be confident, but being over confident surely leads to failure. Yolla phones is a great example of its kind.

It's time that One+ need to get out of their illusion / hype of being a'only flagship killer'.

They tried doing APPLE trick of keeping same design but changed interiors. But One+ forgot the fact that they are not the only players of Android ( while apple is sole player of iOS). Even if they claim to have their own OS ( oxygen, hydrogen or nitrogen) , end of the day it's based on Android.

Secondly it is a known fact ( which they never acknowledged in beginning) that One+ being a sibling of OPPO and VIVO. With both OPPO and VIVO having service centres at every corner( at least in India) , what makes it so difficult for One+ to tie up for services with them?

OPPO and VIVO are great products in price range, but are still NOT considered amongst so called 'premium','flagship killers'. One+ is projecting itself as 'premium' at affordable prices( but considers self better than OPPO and VIVO)

Till now they reserved rights of choosing customer at launch of new device ( buy by invitation only), but soon this gimmick will be a killer for them. It may so happen that aware customers will no more care for any invitation.

Though being a good gadget, I never recommend as first choice to anyone purely out of this'overconfidentt, hyped' attitude of One+.
Xiaomi is one who lets it's products speak for itself. They never hype, though being very affordable.

I'd buy this as a cheap gaming device.

No matter what specs it has, it's still a chinese phone man..
I'd rather have a 2-3 year old Sony or HTC than this.
No waterproof, no SD Card, very bad service centers outside Asia and let's not forget how notoriously known are chinese brands for spying on you..
No thx! I'm not that cheap..

Should have added more bands for better carrier compatibility.

My take on this is that this was not a good upgrade, mainly due to raising the price and alienating it's customer base. Maybe a better solution would be: improve battery and camera while leaving the SD 820 and the 400$ price then drop the price on old O3 a bit (basically just listen what your users want. Just a thought.
