I am a past owner of Google nexus one and a new owner of the Galaxy i-9000, and i am nothing but amazed by what the phone brings. All phones have there flaws, so I am not going to get into it. My previous phone was amazing as well, I had to get rid of it was because it wasn't a HSPA compatible phone.
Only thing I am going to downsize and criticize about is Samsung's Customer service, GOD DAMN they are annoying and not helpful at all. They show you more attitude then actually resolve your situation. So i would recommend you guys to help yourself in that regard before giving them n00bs a call.

Everyone in this thread owns a galaxy s, or want's one so bad,that thay check out every single galaxy s thread known to man,or(unfortunately) thay own a lame ass nokia,and just carnt handle being the looser with old school tech.NOKIA is in trouble,and soon will be broke ass up. BwaaaaHaaaaHaaaaHaaaaHaaaaaarrrrr.You want a galaxy s,you know you want one,you know you doooooo.

Such a huge and massive interest for people about a phone i have never seen so far, miles ahead than iphone4 interest And even then their own nokia phones like n95,5800,n97etc.
truely N8 is the father of all phones.
For me N8 is 'INCREDIBLE'.

Next shipment is due end of Jan. Unfortunately Samsung is too lazy unlike Apple and Nokia who produce a pentaband fone that down here you have two different flavors on the two main carriers. Telecom NZ fones (850/2100) can be used on Vodafone and 2Dregrees (900/2100) carriers but not the otherway round.

according to reports,nokia has so far sold 19million nokia 5800 device since its launch compare to galaxy which has 6 different and each sold for only 1.5 millions.

Let's see, the Galaxy S family compose of at least 7 different members (and I'm not talking about the colour variations because those are just the shells.)
- The original Galaxy S
- The Galaxy S with TV tuner
- The Galaxy S Captivate
- The Galaxy S Continuum
- The Galaxy S Epic
- The Galaxy S Fascinate
- The Galaxy S Vibrant (USA Version)
(- The Galaxy S Vibrant Canadian Version which is similar to the original version but with different frequency bands)
Some with flash, some without, some with front camera, some without, some with full 4" screen, some with divided screen, some with larger flash storage, some with smaller... the list goes on...
Now let's us divided 10M/7 = less than 1.5 million/model. IMHO, the 10 million units sold is kind of misleading. Next what? What if Nokia starts advertising how many N series phone have been sold? Or how about how many Symbian(^3) phones have been sold? hmm...

For those who can't update their phones, remove your old kies from pc and download/install the newest version of kies from samsung website; and sure you'll get the upgrade after that. I'm from the middle east and it's of the most areas that samsung don't care about and if I have the upgrade then everybody should have the upgrade allover the world.
By the way the Phone is Superb I don't know why some people have problems with such a device.

Samsung sold 10m galaxies in 7 months while Nokia N8 passed 4m units in just about 2 months!!! double that every month and see the results
Samsung, good luck in outpacing Nokia "in 3 years".

Samsung exel on the hardware front,but WTF with RFS? With members of xda,voodoo and the like,we have ext4 file system,and turns the galaxy s into a very speedy powerhouse indeed.Mind you there is a new firmware out froyo 2.2.1 that dont need lag fix,But i lag fixed it anyway lol,and its insanly fast,so the days of lag are drawing to an end.And we will soon have gingerbread.All up,the galaxy s is an awsome phone,but thanks to the community,its even more amazing.

Galaxy S is great BUT SAMSUNG's laziness of deleivering the froyo update to it is a NO NO!!! whats the hell is wrong with SAMSUNG..they are happy to announce that 10 million of the SGS were sold and they couldnt push the froyo update atleast to thank us for getting their SGS...THIS IS BAD...a manufacture that controls the OS unlike in WP7 & iOS wil have an impact on consumers bcuz we dont know what are their plans for the existing products...Google needs to put manufactures harder to end the fragmentation issue...Before ppl will switch to other phones...
