Samsung plans to outpace Nokia in 3 years.
Samsung Electronics plans to boost its mobile phone production in China and Vietnam next year.
Officials say Samsung is aiming to outpace Nokia within the next three years and the next 12 months will be pivotal .

Seems samsung are right in there with google,(NEXUS S)And the wave is a sripped dawn galaxy s.Look at the spec sheet again if ya think just screen size lol.ITS MID SPEC.

Get real, it's about the sales. Samsung is making their own app store, which already has thousands, and will launch a new SDK that will reel in developers and make them even better. Samsung is only in this for the money when it comes to Android. It's their testbed and income source while they further their own operating system. The features that will be added in the upcoming upgrade will pose itself a serious competitor, considering it isn't much right now. Look at the Wave, it's impossible to call that low end EXCEPT for the 3.3 inch screen. By Bada 2.0, that phone will take off. As will the newer phones that run it.

I cant beleve the N8 JUNKET children are in here posting.Havent you kids got a N8 forum class.......FKN LOL.And as for the bada BS,you think samsung are going to throw the android market away,dont think so.And what about all the custom roms that are out there,the modding community,us hard core owners.Bada will be for low to mid spec phones,android for high end.Think about it.

I have had the phone for 7 months, and it's STILL the fastest phone on the market bar none. Is things slowing down? It rivals apples A4 processor but leaves everything in it's wake with it's GPU. Amazing work on samsungs behalf. Well done to them. Their software department is much to be desired but hey whats what custom roms are and lag fixes which makes the phone 4 times snapper! With the 10mil mark it looks like Drioi 2.3 is coming to the Galaxy S phones.

Samsung will launch only 4 to ... moreBada is growing, and is their long-term goal. Currently they are using Android, but only as a testbed. All of the features that are in the TouchWiz UI for Android will find their way onto Bada 2.0 and above, but they will be better and more refined. Their own OS will grow, and soon Samsung will launch a bevy of their newer devices on that OS, and less on Android.
You can understand how Samsung feels about what Google did. This is why they leapfrogged at the opportunity to make the next flagship Vanilla Android phone. However they omit features that brought it down to size (lack of MicroSD, D1 video quality and lack of FM Radio). And they probably feel bad about that video Motorola did about the Honeycomb Tablet. Galaxy S is laggy and surely have problems with GPS. It does not feel premium product by build quality. am really surprised how it sold so many units. I think good advertising by Samsung
