Introducing search autocomplete: phone search made easier

04 January, 2011
We're happy to introduce a new enhancement to our phone search engine. The Phone finder is amazingly popular and its search box has just grown smarter. Thanks to the new auto suggestions, from now on...

That wasn't hard, was it. So just why did it take forever? Nonetheless, great search solution.

It's a pretty simple addition, but it's a real time saver. I love how it shows a small picture of the device. That's a really cool feature.

                                  Good job, gsmarena.
But you guys should have given some specification on what type of browsers do or don't support this feature. I am also talking about mobile browsers. As i figured, this feature doesn't work in webkit based browsers (mine is a symbian^1 device). I first let the homepage to fully load and then by using the 'mini qwerty' keyboard option in 'Swype', I wrote 'corby'. But the browser didn't try to load anything (i.e the topmost bar that shows the data transfer). I used mini qwerty keyboard option because it splits the screen into two halves (provided the orientation is portrait).
Since many guys, like me, browse using mobiles, so i just asked this question to clear my doubt. Sorry if i sound ignorant.
