Rant aside, Everyone needs to buck there ideas up. We need a stable system that will work without data and not crash all the time (OVI Maps) So my conclusion is........ get a freaking satnav.

Ive installed the new Ovi maps V3,6 on my N8 along with the new map data and any other application including garmin and google maps can go sleep for that, because not only does it offer a super layout and simplicity but the map detail is brilliant, Ovi maps has everything you need even the pinch to zoom works awesome and best of all its FREE and you can download entire country maps, until garmin and google allow FREE navigation and downloading of country maps they can go sleep

it would be nice to have it on Android.
But if its true how some says - that its downloading maps from internet, then it really stupid.
ok, i have unlimited data plan, but im primarily using navigation not in my country, so being abroad in roaming there is no unlimited data rates (so far not in my country) and that costs much :(

"Map data loads directly from the Garmin servers"

i would say google maps will do it for 40bucks less
