This was available in Australia with telstra users for a while, but as a subscription on iphone... Works well, i used it recently, had advanced lane guidance, 'real-view', speed limits, everything from the high end garmin units, got me to my dad's place over christmas flawlessly, estimated the ETA down to the minute...

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2011Does it need data!? Or just satelitte?Just satellite although it works better with data which puts the 'A' in 'A-GPS'.

In Australia MetroView offers better value at $25, it works well and has all the speed limits and camera locations.

this article is not right about Garming navi being exclusive for their standalone units. Garmin has offered their full navigation software for use on Symbian S60 Nokia OS for quite a time. They recently stopped upgrading them though cause of their very own cell phones. Seems like they started again for the mobile market.

Garmin SatNavs are excellent (way better software than the other major - less experienced! - brand brand), so it is likely this app will be equally good, within the constraints of iOS and Apple's hardware.

                                Way to GO Garmin! ;)
