AnonD-312515, 29 Nov 2016I lol'd at your last comment haha Why laugh? He was just stating the truth.
I've switched from OnePlus 2 to the Lumia 950 and the OS is definitely superior. And infinitely more secure, stable and reliable. And the UI is the most advanced one you can get on a phone. (superior to any custom launcher in Android)

It's still a false perception. Smartphone is more accessible, so it makes sense there are more smartphone user than PC user. But that doesn't mean you can abandon PC and work solely on smartphone.
People can offload some works from their PC to smartphone, but you'll still need PC for most part, unless your job never need PC in the first place..

"ability to run x86 applications" well that's good to hear, but I doubt it can run desktop OS and apps like Android did with emulator (DOS, Win95, Linux).
Still waiting for surface phone though, I really hope it brings new innovation to mobile space.

Maybe new hardware but same OS - Windows Mobile so..not. People want same apps, games like on iOS, Android, better functionality.

In my opinion..No more Microsoft phones, no more Windows Phone/mobile. My last was Nokia Lumia 930 and it was good phone but crap OS. I wait for WM10, use Windows Insider and I am very disappointed. Change to little and too late, system with many
restrictions, a complete lack of
applications and games. Even Microsoft
software first are made on iOS and
Android! Thanks but no more Microsoft products.

I expect it in next year's fall. But I'm still ready to be surprised. What I expect is best camera, pen, full w10. What I don't is small price, as its ought to be competitive. When they deliver the best even 1300euro price is nice, apple sells iphones similarly priced, with just bigger memory. I would welcome more better specs than pay for memory.

Anonymous, 29 Nov 2016My Nokia from 2005 could access Web pages, I guess it was ... moreNot really. Symbian, back then, was also called as smartphone by some people. Back then, the term smartphone was nearly attached to Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), referred to a phone that can help business person to help with their works. Sophisticated scheduling, easily taking notes, you know, a kin of planner book. Plus, they can handle apps built for the platform they used.
And... Since my job is definitely cannot handled by smartphones (since I'm a software developer myself), I'm curious, what kind of jobs do enable people to leave their PC/laptop and work solely on smartphones? And tablets too if you want to add that, although when we say tablets, we mostly talk about iPad, since quality apps for tablets on Android is still a meh.

MasEnha, 29 Nov 2016If you think that Android is dumber, let me ask U one thing... moreIt's not just a question of being able to do something, but also being able to do something well. Otherwise, one would say that ALL cars are identical for example.

I admit WM and iOS UI are better than Android (faster, cleaner), but Android is a solution in a single blow; since I can't do this or that with WM nor iOS.

Apart from Nintendo Switch, the Surface Phone has the potential to be one of the best portable gaming devices simply due to Continuum.

Is this a real Windows OS? I can connect my projector on this device, I can install Odin to flash my Samsung phone, I can connect my optical media drive to burn or copy dvd/vcd if he can do I will buy it but if not it's a fake OS at all.
