In 2007, the iPhone reinvented the phone and that's a fact, but now, the Apple phone is simply one more tree in a big green jungle.
The iPhone era has finally ended.
I love to see SE is pushing its engine to reach competition, there was a time when SE phones were superb and they want them to be top-notch again.

how many phones have been called an iphone killer and only turn out to be a dud. this is not an iphone killer but it is a good phone especially from a company that have not come out with one for a long long time. and to those complaining why not a dual core well if they install that to this phone then you wont be able to afford it. trying to balance the features with the price is hard and adding dual core would delay the launch further and make it pricier. Sony ericsson need a hit and this could be the one or at least a good start.

Why do some people think that an "iPhone killer" has to be superior in every respect ?
This phone has satisfying specs. Dont fantasize with the dual-core thing bcz there is simply no application or operation in real life that requires the absolute computing power. 1 Ghz is more than enough.
This phone surely looks the part & can deliver with the ever improving android.

I found much better hands-on, not done at CES so guys shows the Xperia ARC in much control and not crowded environment and put it against two other handsets. And more pictures, added hands-on too.

Well i really like the Xperia Arc, Probably my next phone! But wait! Sony Ericsson have 3 more Xperia Models to come the Xperia Neo this might be Xperia line to have 12mp cam and 1.2Ghz processor, Xperia Play the much awaited play station phone! and the last the Xperia Duo the first SE phone to featured Dual Core Processor from its name Duo! I cant decide yet which to buy! But this time i will go for Xperia Arc. But one thing missing in this device! the FFC. but just like HTC the latest or let say 95% HTC Phone doesnt have FFC.

Will surely buy this phone for design alone! Don't care about the specs I'm just gonna use it for SMS, calls and wifi. Doesn't also care if its price is impractical for my uses: I CAN AFFORD IT!

Finally, an iphone killer has arrived, has all the elements of a blockbuster phone. Tired of being dictated by what can be done with iOS... waiting for a phone which looks on par with iPhone and performs smoothly enough... This phone looks like one, hopefully am proved right!

Do you have any idea about the price? I've read somewhere that in UK will be about 500 pounds NOT free. :-/ If it's true... It will be a very expensive phone.

1ghz boring!! While competitors like Samsung and LG are releasing Dual-core phones, this will be yet again behind other competitors just like SE Xperia X10 was. Pity, the design is a thing of beauty
