AnonD-551566, 06 Dec 2016please enter the webpage mentioned in the post and type the... moreI checked the replacement program series before i went to the Apple Store, mine was not in the list but still have issues. Funniest thing is, person at the Genius bar added a comment to my case saying he is not able to replicate the issue at the store but the metrics report mentioned 2 crashes. Not all issues happen at the store ;-)
Let me see wat they say in today's call which they have scheduled.

Mine is okay. No match found.

Issue is not just the phones made between September and October 2015. i bought my iPhone 6S in Feb and still have the issue. I went to the Apple store and they ran the metrics and found that the phone got switched off multiple times. Person in the Genius bar doesnt want to change the battery even though I am still under warranty till Feb 2017. Instead he reapplied the OS thru the PC saying it everything should be fine and had setup a follow up call.

After coming home and started using the phone, phone switched off twice when I had 38% and 20% charge on it.

I have a feeling that it is widespread issue but the keep on hiding the details.

AnonD-105795, 06 Dec 2016Hahaha a now they blame the air instead of accepting design... moreSo I guess you know why this has happened do you?

Controlled ambient air could of dried the batteries out & make this happen. It is not rocket science. At least Apple know the reason behind the fault!

Typical Apple excuse, everything PR driven.
I thought Parts of the phone are kept and assembled in a controlled environment (sort of clean room).
So how some batteries are exposed and some are not? and Li-po batteries when exposed to air, why should have a problem?

You guys must think its totally easy to create the facilities that manufacture these devices and to not even allow a single to be exposed to imperfectioning particles.....

This applies to every phone factory, not just Apple's. If it happened, then hopefully someone can prevent further incidents, for the users safety.
