I much prefer to have a small chin and any space that was to be used by the buttons to be used by *extra* screen (thus making the screen even bigger), than having dumb buttons always standing there, doing nothing for the majority of the time.

I'm rocking an HTC 10, with a home key and smartly incorporated capacitative keys. No screen real estate lost. Definitely didn't increase chin compared to the Pixel with on-screen keys.

I am quite happy without one provided there is some way to reset the phone with out it, thus negating the need completely. Personally I think it's impractical to completely remove all bezels. Reducing it is fine but when you have trouble holding it without touching the screen then it becomes a problem. 5mm bezel top and bottom with 2mm sides is where we should be aiming for.

What took them so long? Samsung produced Galaxy Nexus started the trend of no physical home button but Samsung themselves insists to have home button to copy cat Apple. I rarely uses home button in my S7. Fingerprint in S7 home button is also not ergonomic.
