The problem of the phone is not the price but the specs... I had the ZC1 and still have the Z3C but this new Compact forced me to buy it's bigger brother XZ ... I looked for a small top phone and not a budget one.
Sony killed the Compact because they can make more money with the XZ and the Compact took too many costumers.

this phone could be the perfect phone IF it would be dual SIM. I never got why sony never released a dual SIM version of this phone. from my point of view it is the most exciting phone on the market...
i went to the xperia XA. lets see what brings 2017 and the xperia X compact "2"

I think the haters/Ghostwriters are trolling too much, when it release haters complain overpriced, when the price drop the haters say it use cheap materials and better buy Tupperware. the phone is ok (a little underpowered), but I'm really mostly disappointed with the screen-to-body ratio. the bezel at the bottom (chin) and top are just too distracting and take up too much wasted space. Sony, please don't forget you are selling a phone that is supposed to have a _COMPACT_ design! The X Compact is TALLER and THICKER than previous compacts: Z3c, Z5c (that isn't progress!) kindly pay attention (next time) and minimize the bezels and maybe include piezoelectric speaker tech just like mi mix to further reduce bezels. hoping to see a better _****COMPACT****_ phone from sony in the near future.

Wouldn't pay $30 if it has the same build quality as the horrific Z3C. Worse purchase I've ever made, which is a shame because I love the size and style of sony's compacts.

Yup price went up in Amazon as well......sigh right when I was finally convinced to buy it.
