Anonymous, 13 Dec 20162G GSM? Are you kidding me?
Australia's largest carrier ... moreThese phones aren't made for australia or america . They are made for developing countries Where not even 3g network is reliable outside big cities .. "Nokia's main market"
Why is everybody complaining here ? Can you guys even find a smartphone for 40 $ that doesn't lag while making a call , opening contacts and doesn't need charging 2-3 times a day ?
People complaining here like everyone can afford smartphones why live in 90's.. a lot of people live on a monthly income of 40 $.. yes ! it is for them.. there is a reason why feature phones is a big big market even today .. more than 120 million feature phones are sold in a year..

Nokia bring back S40, it was a great feature phone OS or better still, combine all the feature phone OS to create an ultimate feature phone OS for multimedia centric feature phones.

2G GSM? Are you kidding me?
Australia's largest carrier (Telstra) has already closed its 2G network, with the other 2 (Optus and Vodafone) to follow suit in 2017.
Not only does nobody want this rubbish, being 2G only is utterly useless. Most countries have far better coverage with 3G anyway. What was Nokia going for, the worst possible experience they could come up with?

Some people use a second phone only for calling and messaging. They will be very happy to have this type of phones if it included contact sync, whatsapp, viber facility. And suits for people in their mid-old age who doesn't give a s*** about smartphones.

Why even release this phone? Phone from 13 years ago had better specs. Should at least have 3G on the 900/2100 band.

I'd certainly get one of these but they'd end up as more or less media players, come on give us at least one 3G capable model.
