SpiritWolf, 14 Dec 2016I am tired of this 'WP is dead BS'. Stop, just stop. Pathet... moreI am shocked ! .. You think WP is still alive ? Even Microsoft doesn't think like that anymore..

Look at the market shares.. IT is below 1 % and dropping fast.. look at new phone launches/push from MS.. Ms isn't interested since ballmer quit
i liked windows phone too , the look , smoothness, fluidity

Tiles were ok to me , but a lot of user didn't like it at all and it was pathetic for many..
and then the whole scene with apps.. no market share >> no developers > no apps

WP will soon be replaced by "Full Windows" on mobile as MS showed emulating windows on Arm processor .. that is the future not WP ..
WP became alive "because of Nokia" , and it died when Nokia left..

Kids, just stop arguing over such nonsense, no one cares what OS you think is the best, just be respectful to choices of others. If Windows Phone disappointed you, it is your problem, no one forced you to use it in the first place.

On to the topic, I would like to see similar thing done with Windows 10 Mobile on Android phones as there is a great variety of good hardware to choose from.

the number of "affected" WP fans here is staggering. geez, WP would have been great if it had enough "unique" apps to start with. having stock apps like facebook and youtube won't cut, even some featurephones have that.

and before you bash, i use a nokia 830 running the anniversary update and an old android chinaphone running lollipop. for some reason the android chinaphone just feels less retrictive, app-wise.

Why would anyone want static icons? It's not 1996 anymore. Liked icons on my Symbian phone back then but times change. Android UI is as dull as Android itself. But brainwashed googlesheeps won't understand that, of course.

The Youtube apps on Windows are superior to anything you can get on iOS or Android. Ads are blocked, Youtube plays under lock screen and in the background when using other apps. And Facebook's app is working great.

Windows 10 anniversary is vastly superior to Android in almost all ways. Including looks and customizability. Not to mention it's faster, more stable, secure, has an advanced UI that is actually useful when compared to the old school static icons in Android, multitasking is infinitely better, battery saving options are better, it has better memory management, better file system management, is more intuitive and faster to use than Android, has flawless email sync options, superior standard apps, better encryption, apps running in sandboxed mode, and generally a more polished feel to it. And the list can go on.

can anybody tell me how to boot any android device with windows 10 mobile/pc, that is, how to install windows 10 mobile/pc on an android device?

I thought that starting Android 7.x.x only x64 based processors can run it. Is this Nokia x64 cos I highly doubt it?

Oh, there was a guy asking about running Windows on Android: it is possible, but it's just for fun, no real reason you should do this.
I tried it (you need root), but the mouse cursor and the touch are horrible, you have to press like 4-5 times to actually click something. In other words: pointless.
Maybe in 2-3 years we'll be able to boot the real windows and run photoshop on our Android phones :D
Even though smartphones are getting better and better, they still can't run Windows-based programs (insufficient ram and processing power, software and driver compatibility etc).
Personally I would love to run the real Linux OS on my smartphone.
Time to study more Java :D
P.S WM is the worst OS out there. Even that lousy Tizen I think is better..

I've used nokia for 2 years and fors first year after android I loved it. Second year it became a nightmare as I wanted more than stock apps.. After 5 years of windows they still don't have proper app for Youtube or Facebook, all apps are just shortcuts to browser versions. :D
