Anonymous, 18 Dec 2016You're obviously dreaming! Nope. I'm not actually.
They have successfully created brand awareness by shifting focus on android which in turn may even help with BB10 that happens to be the best mobile OS available. But never got the backup with developers it needed.
More and more companies and people are having to think about security.

I'm not sure you're correct on that. Everything I've read is that BB Android phones haven't been rooted yet because they have such good security.

So I don't think they have the same security as the rest with google's monthly security patches.

AnonD-135230, 17 Dec 2016$650CAD wasn't a bad price for the DTEK60. Not like the $90... moreThe problem BlackBerry is that they arrived at the party late.

2013 the year when Blackberry released a phone with a secondary (selfie) camera

My first smartphone was a Nokia as you realised that feature phone were just that, the point is and I had to google it it was the Nokia 6680 in 2005/6 had a secondary camera

On security Chancellor Merkel ordered a Government load o Z30 due to USA NSA spying on Germany.
IPhones had nothing to do with. Washington, Blackberry was a common as a stapler, in the 2016 Presidential elections , Secretary Clinton photos are with a Blackberry.

Here is the thing, Blackberry lost out to Apple & Samsung ( I think it was ones phone from each) simply because there were no Blackberry, and the Android versions not tested , or some other reason

On security Blackberry like everyone else queues for the security patch.
I like BB 10 for the security & ram management,

Blackberry by definition should have bounced right back, but Blackberry running Android simply not the same thing, they wanted Blackberry with BB 10 as now you only have an emulation.

Ignore the phones, 2 years ago there were 4 operating systems now 2,

I arrived at the BB party late but in all that time not one security patch.

And you're paying more for security. You have to remember that BlackBerry isn't aiming for the general consumer. Their phones are still focused on business. The reason they switched to Android was because corporations and governments started to switch their phones to iPhones. So, in order to get those clients back, they made the switch to Android and beefed up Android's security.
