How the hell will ur phone recognise that it... moreAfter 3 unsuccessful screen unlock attempts.
You can control your phone via internet from "www.trackandprotect.com".
The thief has to flash the phone (without trying to unlock the screen) before you realise it was stolen. Otherwise, he's toast.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011real multitasking
oh, you mean when you open two heavy app... moreThe fact that your post appears twice says all about your phone, but anyway:
"real multitasking
oh, you mean when you open two heavy apps the first one closes all by itself?"
Try running SPBShell, Opera Mobile 10.1. and any other app on your 256 MB RAM Symbian. Name those two heavy apps that will slow my SGS.
"camera
yeah, htc cameras are especially "great""
HTC is not Android.
"low battery life
yes, because android has poor background process management"
Still, GSMArena test shows otherwise, and anyway the processors on Android phones and iPhone run at much higher frequencies that 600 MHz.
"3g is available anywhere
maybe to you, but not to a majority of people. also, it costs money to most"
In Europe 3G is free and practically everywhere (more than 90% teritory coverage)
"aluminium casing
al is not much heavier than plastic, but its extremely more durable and your phone seems just better" Aluminium is not bad, but it's just the casing. What good is the casing if your phone is slow.
"offline maps
cache is not same as maps. for navigating you still need internet connection. what if you're abroad and use roaming."
Before you travel abroad you load that country map on your symbian, isn't it. Sa before you travel in a country you load all the Google map tiles you need in the cache. After that you do not need any internet connection.
Weak signal? What, GPS signal? In that case you'll need A-GPS on both phones, so you'll pay the same.

Otherwise it is a closed source proprietary OS. In comparison, Mac OS X also has a kernel based on open source kernel but overall it is not an open source OS.

"Real multitasking? "
Android had that from day 1.
"World-beating camera?"
We are peaceful people:)). 5Mpix with autofocus is not unusable anyway.
"Low battery life?"
See the GSMArena's own article in the matter, maybe the Android users use their phones more.
"USB OTG?" We have Facebook and youtube accounts, very fast internet connections and wi-fi n at home.
Class 33 GPRS n EDGE?
3G is available everywhere.
"Aluminium casing?" We are afraid of lighting strikes:). Is not that, we just do not want to carry bricks in our pockets.
"Offline maps?" My car has them anyway. Just in case, Google maps cache now has 1G.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011and how many of those games are ports vs exclusives for Sym... morefirst of all, gameloft hd games first started on symbian s60v3
secondly, the games can not be exclusive for symbian3, its a few months old. i do know that hd is not connected to resolution, but the quality and size of the games
i also know that a lot of those games, on all platforms, are simple games which look good but not so fun to play.
updates on symbian are better then on android
because android adds new features, yes, but features that were already available on symbian. i have lg optimus, stuck on 2.1 and will never get the ability to install apps on sd card (legally)
plus there are still bugs in the system and things that need improving
updates on symbian solve bugs, android just add more bugs and more things to go wrong
i dont consider nokia almighty, i think s60v5 is a cruel joke. but symbian3 is nowhere near that. its polished, fast and capable. i would trade fm transmitter for 1ghz cpu every time.

Dere are people in this world who dont have wi-fi's or other fast internet connections!
Should they get a net connection jst coz they have baught a new phone?
Technology isnt abt doing sumthng wen evrythng is present!
It's about what can u do with jst what ur given!
And symbian does many things out of the box wich ios or android can't do without apps
thus it save's money too, and please now dont say everyone is rich..!!
Have u heard of nokia plug and touch?
That is what i call making use of technology..!!!
