nokia has a lot of technology patents, while apple has many design patents. To me this explains which one of them is truly a valuable company. Shame on apple.

From this 2011 article: "Apple to pay Nokia big settlement plus royalties in patent dispute":
"The case (Nokia-Apple) settled on Tuesday was filed in 2009 by Nokia, which said it had filed a patent 10 years ago (1999) that covered the use of touchscreen technology in phones.
Ironically, announcing the iPhone in 2007, Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive, said of the multi-touch screen interface: "Boy, have we patented it!", in a warning to would-be rivals."

Haha, Apple sued Samsung for stupid things like the rounded corners of smartphones, and now almost every smartphone, for every manufacturer, has rounded corners. Now it is the time that Apple learn a lesson from Nokia, because Nokia made smartphones before Apple.

I don't think it could work. Apple will ignore every court that isn't American plus its verdict and every American court will ignore patents and facts in order to make an American company happy.

how can you take sides when the information inst out yet to show exactly what the patents are for.

you cant argue who stole what if you don't know the facts (which are hidden in the patents and the lawsuits they haven't shown us).

all the comments here are pure fanboy.

although saying that most here already know apple 'borrow' technology and claim it as their own.

i'm interested to see how many Nokia win, and how many are dismissed.
