Nokia files new patent infringement lawsuits against Apple in the US and Europe

The infringement claims cover 32 patents and have been filed in three regional courts in Germany and one District Court in the US.

                      You get caught on the same thing , you were complaining about.

                        Happy to read this mainly because, a company took major financial advantage am raping patents while someone was quiet. Do you think apple would sue if someone crossed their patents, let alone more than 30 of them? Yes. If they won't negotiate in their arrogance even though I like some of their products. Good on Nokia. Go for it all the way. You brought so many innovations. Stand up and a counted.

                                        So the fact is that Apple is using their IP without compensation is irrelevant? Like I said above, without companies like Nokia and Motorola, the iPhone would be an iPod. Apple takes other people's ideas and changes/refined them. But as far as creating something totally from scratch? That's not their strong suit. Even the GUI for their first computers were taken from someone else.
                                        Regardless, it's not about trying to stay relevant for Nokia, it's about being paid for something they developed. Or is it only Apple that's supposed to be able to be compensated for their work? Without these patents that are in contention, the iPhone wouldn't operate as it currently does. So if it's OK for Apple to be compensated for their IP, why is it not OK for Nokia to do the same?
