I do not think that this phone is going to have a bright future, hardware seems to be outdated for a "console" phone. It is going to be interesting to see how PSP phone struggles to keep up with Nvidia Tegra monster.
BTW I am not trying to start the discussion about avaibility of good games etc. I think that they should use the newest available technology, that is all.

buliding a gaming phone with little game app storage space.....315mb sony ericsson you have failed!!!! WTF its an incredible mistake one which cripple the phone,that and the 2010 specs in it. Lots of big games can range in at 15mb even after using app2sd and putting 300mb of data in the memory card folder. Some games don't use app2sd and can have larger internal phone memory usage......in 2011 this is unforgiveable and Sony has indeed not learned anything

it is the first xperia play phone second will be released in q3
and you should know that this pre released version of the phone has better bechmark comapare to galaxy s and xperia arc!
and we can play psp games and some great android games that Sony partners will make for this monster!
i'm sure that this will make money!

Come on we know it's an android based gaming smartphone. Don't get me wrong i'm not disrespecting sony here. I have both sony ps3 and psp go. Which i think amazing gaming device. My guess is a smartphone plus gaming device don't suit well. And not to mention the android plaform which has issue over battery performance. It won't even stay for 24 hours. Big game developers and publishers are not stupid. They knows the android platform vey well. Even sony's psp 2000 or 3000 didn't make too much impact against nintendo's DS or DSI/DSI XL. Now we know sony's on announcing new psp2. I'm waiting for it but if it's good what sony said to be or i will buy nintendo 3DS. All good game came from nintendo's handheld device.

I mean when the HTC Touch HD came out it cost close to R12 000 like wtf lol but yeah... then again we pay too much for everything here lol

gaming devices and phones should be kept separate. It will never be a good phone or a good gaming device, it'll be in the middle spec wise =[ im still going to buy this phone though. cmon psp2
