two years later Ive decided to buy a pair of those Airpods. Honestly? I LOVE thems! despite what ppl think they are staying right where they should be! In you ear! and compared to the apple earpods (wired one) The sound quality is WAYYYYY better! Much more BASS! Battery life is quite good! and with the case acting as a charger! I dont need to spend money on new earphone ever!

am a concerned consumer
just becoz its tech doesnt mean you over ride consumers tastes..@iphone pliz return my headphonejack..we appreciate yo uniqueness but given the many phonemakers do you ever to imagine how will yo loyalists&competion..apple should neva overlook competitorreaction to influence appleloyalists

Compared to other options in the market AirPod price is surprisingly low, the price won't be problem. Sound quality for most is more than enough, easy usability and pairing them is great. AirPods have neat useful features like auto pause when you take one out. Design is great and futuristic lot better than the options you showed with that ugly over the head wire.
But well end of the day all this is just matter of taste, but i predict that AirPods going to sell very well and Apple made great overall product and statement that most of people are going to be happy without wires.

First, why should I have to buy earbuds to make them fit when I have just spent 160USD on the earphones, they should be included and second they are still just as easy to get lost. It is not just me that is saying this! You just think that anyone who criticises Apple hates them I guess.
Then to your other comment about the Apple Watch, most iPhone users have not bought a watch, so why should they have to pay an extra 400us to have features I have on my earphones already (which is one of my points). Especially as the Apple watch is not that great and has a mediocre battery life. Which is probably why only a tiny fraction of iPhones users have not bought the watch!
You have to admit the Airpods are just too expensive for the sound quality, features and suspect design.

Hardpress on the music player in AW, select watch as source, resync playlists (syncing while having iphone set as source does not copy the music files to the watch), done, as simple as that, a one time task. Modern ppl dont bring musicplayers or phones to excersize, thats so 2014....

I prefer non Apple 3,5mm headphones so that I can use them with almost everything except iPhone 7 (adapters not counted)

You do not have to have an Apple hater to know that. I have used wireless headphones for many years mainly for exercise and know better than most that even if they fit well they can fall out or be knocked off. These have one size, are plastic and slippery with absolutely no thought to the practicality of exercise or everyday use.

i dont think price is a concern here..or apply to apple..just the fact ppl not yet ready to accept..look at the price of iphone and other highend android device..does it overprice? ppl still get it...so if marketing and advertise done it nicely..i think this air pod can be sell like hotcake...

The latter I bought 2 years ago and now use for swimming only. The B-Trainer I have had for 4 weeks it is fantastic. The Apple Airpods cannot compare. The Airpods are only half decent if 1 they fit, 2 stay in, 3 you do not need them for exercise, 4 you have Apple products, 5 you are happy to take your iPhone everywhere, 6 you do not mind paying over the top for average at best sound quality, 7 you do not mind replacing them often through loss or they stop working. To many ifs!
They have some good features, which I hope others do adopt but for too many people are not practical and cost far too much.

this would sound better if included in iphone package as a good marketing. i can afford it as it is but simply doesnt appeal to me as an individual product. its like choosing betwenn gopro or sony action cam which includes a remote control

Well for me the height of price should be equal to the quality o/t product.
The more expensive it is, the better, more innovative and/or more durable the product MUST be.
Pity that anno 201x the third rate companies are regarded as "good" while the companies that used to account for high-quality products are gone (e.g. Nokia), returned to crappy products (e.g. HTC, Sony) or their names have been abused by Chinese front-ends for dumping cheap garbage (e.g. Kodak, Siemens).
I know this is a bleak way to start the new year but IMHO and with regards to tech, the world is gone to hell :-(
