They are bluetooth have no wires to connect to any device. They do have a supporting strap that hooks over the ear so they stay put and if they fall out you do not lose them (which the Airpods desperately need for any activity. They connect easily, stay connected and has full controls, unlike the Apple ones. Plus all the added functionality that is actually useful, not gimmicky. The airbuds air are flawed at any cost, yet alone the extortionate price Apple is asking for plastic. In two years they have run, biked and swam with me for thousands of kilometers and have not missed a beat, I know full well the airpods could not get anywhere near that. Apple need to put back the headphone jack or design decent earphones at a reasonable price, at the moment they have taken away and given nothing back in return.

Fanboys see no wrong in their product? I see all the flaws. I support all OS only if it is reasonable to a certain extend. If there is flaw I hate it to a certain extend too. I love and hate all devices regardless of brands or OS. I hate Nokia Lumia phone but I praise their comeback next year. I like Samsung but hate the Note7 flaw. I like using iphone but hate that it is not worthy of its price and seeing the same flaw as everyone else do.

Well I did purchase these. The ease of use was excellent. Set up took seconds. The sound is quite good actually. The ease of charging in the box another massive plus. However the main function of using them whilst been out and about is a non starter. They would not stay in my ears for more than 20 steps or so. I tried them on several occasions and reluctantly I have had to send them back. I am disappointed but there you are.

For what they are the price is surprisingly low, it looks like Apple really want these to be big success, and so far people love them so it looks very good so far.

Apple know what they are doing and we Apple users know what we are paying for.

And i mean headphones which doesn't have any wire. These Airpods works like two different speakers and not like one combined.
If you take one out for example to hear what someone next to you says the music stops And when you plug it back the music plays again.

To be clear. I hate Apple fanboys (as well as Android fanboys).
To me, Apple fans, and Android fans have more in common than the fanboys. Their love of the best tech, just that persona preference led them to different choices.
Reasonable fans are always able to respect other people's choices. If I were an Android fan (which I am for certain brands), I would not just hate Apple fanboys, but Android fanboys too.

There are many factors that drive companies (greed is certainly one of them), but please for one moment don't think that your Android manufacturers are noble champions who have only your welfare in mind. In a level playing field (same OS, same manufacturing suppliers), the only way to compete is on price, hence the resulting cheaper phones.
Look at what happened the moment any Android manufacturer managed to differentiate themselves in the slightest, Samsung and Google Pixel, immediately prices went up.

I am a fan of Apple's good products, but not their bad ones. Fanboys (both Apple and Android), can see no wrong in their favourite brand, and EVERYTHING wrong in rival brands.
Android fans should be more annoyed with Android fanboys, than Apple fans, and vice versa. Personally as an Apple fan, I am annoyed by Apple fanboys who just spout the same drivel.

they make a lot... moreTheir main concept is 'less is more'. That is their way of doing things for many years now. Thats why they had been critizised so much for giving less and charging more on consumers. Their tech is not amazing or innovative at all. Never really seen in-house tech coming from Apple that is mindblowing. I wonder why they charge so much for such an underwhelming device.
Look at the world top 3 smartphone manufacturer. Apple, Samsung and Huawei. Only Samsung and Huawei made innovative progress. Huawei Mate 9 mark the first lag free android in the industry with their amazing software optimization. Samsung unique dual curved edge display design are often copied by other manufacturer. Is there any unique feature that Apple ever contribute to smartphone world? I dont think so. Apple never introduce unique feature on its smartphone. It just another bar phone.

Time and time again, Apple has demonstrated that all industry profits go to iPhones. If you read today's page, you will see that Cyanogenmod is closing shop, Nokia closed shop, Blackberry closed shop.
Profits are what drive companies, and the drive for market share, is actually the drive for profits, assuming that everything else is equal. iPhone does not need to compete such, as they have a differentiator, which is iOS. If they licensed out iOS tomorrow, watch as your precious Android champions rush to get their piece.
By the way, the 1% are also technically a minority, and last I checked I haven't heard them wishing to escape that minority.
Can we get some stronger arguments in here? Surprisingly simple (minded) arguments being put forth.

Strangely, when the products come out, the reviews tend not to be as exaggerated. So far some reviews have stated that the AirPods are in fact very good (for what they are).
