Anonymous, 26 Dec 2016reality check: we cant stop apple fanboys from buying them ... moreI'm not buying them, I buy what I feel is good for me, whether Apple or Android. My headphones are Bose QuietComfort 35's, but if I had a choice now I would get Sony MDR1000X.
Just commenting on the smugness of the Apple haters here, as if the results were a sort of surprise lol. It would be similar like reading an Android device getting poor popularity in a poll on a pro-Apple website, and Android haters going "Hah! See?" you get what I mean?

absolutely airpods can't show you difference between 320k and flac... its compleatly depends on your headphones!

They have some good points, especially if paired with Apple products, but in more important areas like fit, looks, sound quality/price point, features and design, they fall far behind. My Sony bluetooth wireless headphones cost much the same, never have connection/pairing issues, have a large range of fitting options, an actual battery life as good as Apples claimed one despite having heart rate and gps sensors built in and running, 16gb of memory, are fully water and swim proof and proper protection against loss if they do fall out (which is rare)and having tested both the Sony sounds better.
My original pair are two years old (non-gps and heart rate), never miss a beat and I use them most days often twice they still ging strong. I doubt the Apple ones will last a year.
For all Apples finesse on connection tech, it means nothing if they do not fit or fall out and are easily lost. It's just bad design. I could not make then stay in even for walking and while holding them in found the sound quality average at best. Terrible value all around.

If you go to Techradar there best wireless earbuds available DONT EVEN mention Apples I'm afraid. Anyone who loves there music knows wireless sound is inferior to wired.
Im afraid your brand loyalty is commendable but misplaced! Oh and by the way Apples own acquisition beats scores better for wireless earbuds.

This poll has nothing to do with reality,
And why wouldn't people buy these AirPods? These are best or among best overall wireless earpod experience out there.
Sound quality is also good enough for most of people and these offer great experience about wireless future.

Wireless or not these earphones are crap, flat music, no depth and crappy bass.
Samsung copied apple and started bundling crappy earphones too.
I have Marley earphones and they are way to good to be compared with these...
