It is a great news if 1st gen Galaxy A5 will be updated to Nougat, I bought this phone for my mom and she really loves it.

Probably fake or just a huge misunderstanding. No phone released with KitKat (obviously not a nexus) has been updated to Nougat, and especially a midrange from no other than Samsung.

I hope this update won't increase the overheating on the device and decrease it's battery duration after a full charge, Samsung has way too many skills to make customers buy new devices. I also hope that they'll be no lagging because after the Marshmallow update the A5 500FU started to overheat after a few minutes of usage and the battery performance decreased

That would be funny. Then Samsung could continue and offer it as something like the Android One devices, low end (by that time) but still years of support

I had this phone for 7 months. At that time it was on android 5.0.1. I bought it new, and never had any problems with it. Hope this article is true for people that still use it. But on the other hand, I also hope that Nougat will be well optimized for A5 2015 and that wont decrease its performance.

First, still having security updates, then Nougat? My, Samsung sure is working hard to make up for the Note 7 and to regain trust!
I personally own an A5 and I hope to get that Nougat! The A5 is good looking, well built and a good mid-range device.
EDIT: Weird they only mentioned N for the A5 and not for the Note 4-5 or the S5-S6x-S7x.
