It isn't great, but then there has to be some compromise at that price. The Honor 5X costs a bit more, but is said to have a better camera, although I don't know for sure. However, it doesn't have all the hardware features as the RN3, which is by far the best choice at that price-point IMO. Just install a third-party launcher if the Apple-like single layer UI feels too weird.

I hope this is the one they will launch in India, as far as the use of SD 625 in the Indian variant goes it is not a confirmed report it is just a speculation that meany tech gurus are making (although it could be true) but lets hope for the best, also a true successor of RN 3 should have SD 653 instead of SD 625.
Being said that SD 625 has its own advantages over SD 653 such as less heating and huge improvement in battery life etc. but pure performance can only be achieved by SD 653 and as the battery itself will be huge then the use of a processor that enhance it further over a performance oriented processor is most unlikely.

I bet the camera still sucks. Even the one on Redmi Pro sucks. Xiaomi never make good camera for midrange. Mi5 camera is decent enough. Put Mi5 camera into Redmi Note 4X then I will definitely buy.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2016another marketing gimmick to get some more premium.... redm... moreRedmi note 4 runs on a mediatek Helio X20 chipset not snapdragon 625. As XIAOMI is not allowed to sell their mediatek devices in India, they are now making a snapdragon phone to be launched for India after the success of the Redmi Note 3. There was also a snapdragon and mediatek version of rn3 launched in China.

another marketing gimmick to get some more premium.... redmi note 4 will come with sd625 and 4x with sd653... actually moving up from redmi note 3 which is already with sd650,.. redmi note 4 should be out only with sd653... at same price as redmi note 3...just replacing it... moving with time.... but not the case... greedy xiaomi!!!

If this actually comes to India with 4GB+64GB, much better camera (compared to RN3), front speakers, fast charging & SD653=Blockbuster phone in under 15K

Let's hope that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will be available at the top trending smartphone list like his old brother did, the Redmi Note 3 someday

Just as I thought. This will be the same Redmi Note 4, just without the MediaTek chipset. The Snapdragon variant of the Redmi Note 4 is heading to India. As an owner of Redmi Note 3 which houses the Snapdragon 650 chipset, I don't think the Redmi Note 4 is worth upgrading to as Snapdragon 653 will only perform marginally better than Snapdragon 650. Camera on Redmi Note 3 is pathetic and I hope Xiaomi will look after the camera on Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant as that could just turn out to be a selling point. Anyways, I'm not compelled to upgrade from Redmi Note 3 to Redmi Note 4 unless it comes with some ground breaking features.

Other OEMs are now focusing on user experience and finding how to improve...
Xiaomi is still making phones with killer specifications at dirt cheap pricing.
Attest make better camera, sound and service... Even if its a lower end device, i will buy then .
