the tech nerd, 30 Dec 2016I know the answer is simple right, just buy a new Bluetooth... morekeep in mind that some bluetooth headphone charge with a standar connector (my motrolla does so one cable for phone and headphones)
it's still a matter of choice, for the ppl that already own a good pair of 3.5 headphones they'll just have to chose either use an adaptor or look for another device (it's as simple as that) there're other ppl that don't mind the lack of the 3.5 jack so they have other options as well (and other preferences as well) each device has its flaws but some devices suits us to near perfection (or at least we like to think that way untill we see something better)
imo, the phone looks good but not stunning (in HTC i'll always love the design of M9) hope the best for the company still ^_^

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2016But that doesn't mean that WE, consumers, wil follow.
Besi... morei dont know its true or not , apple didnt get paid of royalty about that jack , so they get rid the jack so people have to used their lightning ... so apple will get royalty from company who create that connector ... u know APPLE .. always think about money
but in my point of view , other start to follow just because apple did . they get rid of jack for what ? they didnt get paid for the usb connector , they not create that . like u said , moto already did that , why nobody tent to follow ?
sorry if im wrong ....

"HTC Ocean Note is getting rid of the headphone jack..."
... and consumers will get rid of HTC!
I bet that HTC's forecast next year will be "lower than expected"

Anonanoymoususes, 31 Dec 2016u should blame apple because get rid the jack .... we know ... moreBut that doesn't mean that WE, consumers, wil follow.
Besides Motorola started this BS not Apple.
And they only did it to achieve a shock-effect. Hoping to get some sales of all the attention of being "the bad boy".
Why Apple did it is completely ridiculous especially since they have (or had) a reputation with their MP3-players. It were the Ipods which started to turn around Apple's fortunes. Removing this jacket is seriously wrong for a company with their foot in the music-industry.
Why HTC did it is probably the same as Moto. They are lame attention seekers and I only hope that it blows up in their face.

Big bezel without headphones jack? Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk. They are wasting those huge space usable for stereo speakers or headphones jack. They should at least minimize the bezel if they are not using it wisely and not just following the no sense marketing gimmick of current phone trends.

thgun2, 30 Dec 2016Get yourself a Bluetooth headset lol I know the answer is simple right, just buy a new Bluetooth headset with paying extra 100-150 dollars than wired headset and also requiring you to charge it instead of just simply putting it in audio jack, and if you lose the charging cable then your earphones are screwed but that's still fine

Seriously people are busy buying Apple, Samsung, OnePlus and cheap chinese brands, no one cares about HTC any more. In past few years HTC made only bulky, ugly and pathetic phones in terms of battery, camera, ram and processor. Now they remove headphone or provide tonnes of jacks, no one is left to care except few HTC fanboys in their home country Taiwan.
