well, i was choosing from a few of the likes of dell venue, dell venue pro, nexus s, etc. in the end i chose dell venue android version and i can't be happier. talking about cheap plastic, yes, you're right there, i think any of the samsung hones feel plastic, also consider phone's weight, a device like that just must not weight 100g...
on the other side, dell venue feels like a real machine, no plastic crap, it has its 164g, both sides in chrome, curved gorilla glass, ... not much more i would want from it, don't want to be picky

i had for 2weeks a Nexus S and to be honest that phone is not worth the money, the galaxy s with some fix it runs much better, the 2nd google phone had several bugs and it didn t surprise me at all, i sold it and got back a galaxy s, i m sure LG optimus X will do a better job and i think the sony ericsson arc to, feel sorry for Google, it was better for tham to rest with HTC i m sure they would have made a much better phhone, at list with with real quality material build manifactures. Samsung did a bad job, to much plastic, it feel cheap and looks cheap.
And by the way this gingerbread is not impressive at all.
So don t feel sorry if ur phone is running android 2.2 there are not many differences.

Can't beleive everyone is giving off about the choice of handsets and specs available for Android. It's fantastic having so much choice and allows the platform to be available to sa much wider audience.
Look at Windows Phone 7, boring handsets becuase they all have almost the exact same spec, never mind the cruddy OS.

I think that the Super Clear LCD is a downgrade from Super AMOLED and it is not acceptable in a top line smartphone.

The advertisement banner sometimes covers up the article and does not close despite the close button is clicked. It is really annoying to see the ad window covering up article as we are unable to read.

Android is easy to customize as you like it.
The screen and front on Galaxy S is perfect, but Samsung should have used a rubberized hard black plastic as back-cover, but not metal as it only make the phone heavy.
Nokia-fans do not care how their phone looks just as long as it has the Nokia-logo on it.

bah, I'm from italy and I don't see why anybody should bother buying this phone for 500€.. the samsung wave, which hardware-wise is on par with the nexus s, goes for under 300€ (recently found it at 259!!!) and has an amoled screen.. and I find the bada os to be very good, especially now with the 1.2 version recently out. i really don't see android and a bigger (but worse quality) screen being worth more than 200€ extra

Super AMOLED on that country, 720P video-recording on that other country, LCD on another country, D1 video-recoding on another country...
Seriously, SAMSUNG and Google got no respect for its costumers.
Stupid Android OS... Everything was better before you born. Now everyone is fascinated with that crap overated OS without any privacy just because its from Google and every company can put its hands on it and launch it on any crap phone with milions of different versions, screen resolutions and hardware and another milions of incompatible apps. Now even chinese phones are using this crap. What a mess.
The worse fact is that Android fanboys become as ridiculious and stupid as iPhone fanboys.
