I will skip this one for the bezeless S8. I would consider it only if the joint point is sideways, so that when it's opened, the total screen has a 16/9 or 4/3 format, like a tablet. This device could really replace a tablet. Having such a long gimmick display would be unusable for films and games. I am open for it one day, but it seems that it has a long long way to go...

Interesting. If this is true, then it'll be awesome, but buying the first foldable smartphone would be a mistake, as it could have a lot of problems.

So from a flagship, i'd expect at lkeast 3 years and without a removable battery (Combined with heavy usage), 3 years would be a compromise with the battery life. It it doesn't swell and ruin the whole phone before that, of course.

Agree with all your points exactly and one more thing, hybrid SIM slots - they advertise it as dual SIM with SD card support and you can't use 2 SIM cards along with SD Card Slot. Manufacturers don't want us to use dual SIMs along with SD card. 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB might be enough for many but I'm a beyond just a heavy user, I've 3 64GB Cards. We need more storage in both internal memory and dedicated memory without the stupid I online drives. Fed up with current generation of smartphones.

Fold it and the thickness doubles as you can see in the presentation but the length and breadth will be half when folded. This is certainly cool man. 😃

Though the idiots are not the phone manufacturers, but the clients who will accept and buy what is served to them.
- Removable battery - if the battery is not removable, the phone is never turned off completely (easy to track)
- Fingerprint and iris scanner - say bye bye to anonymity (I'm 150% sure that there is a huge bank of fingerprints used as a database for agencies etc (before, only prisoners had their Fingerprints taken - now it's everyone)
- Smartphones nowadays have the ability for remote control from their manufacturers - they see what you see on the phone and they can control it
- In a few years they will probably get our blood and dna too
- SD Card slot - fuggle wants your data by any means - they give you the drive for free and you give them your data for free (personally I never want to hear about a phone if it doesn't have SD cards slot and waterproof)
If people wouldn't buy removable battery phones, the manufacturer wouldn't make them.. So again, the idiots are the clients.

They sure take their sweet f###ing time with it. We had seen prototypes of flexible screens years and years ago, yet still no actual product. And no, I don't want "bent" or "curved" displays - I want a screen that unfolds to 2-3 times the size of the base device, by folding out 1 or 2 panels. Things that unroll from a "stick" would work too. But I have no use for displays that curve over edges, Samsung. You can keep those and either shut up or put up!

Sometimes for money, sometimes just for the heck of it. Non-removable batteries (Thanks to Jobs), hybrid sim slots (Or complete lack of SD support), lack of 3.5mm, lack of FM radio and ir blaster, glass (And even alluminium) back panels.
Smartphones suck nowadays. Everything in them screams "GREED"! "IDIOCRACY"!

I find it funny how Samsung can get bashed for something that we know nothing about other than the basics, its a bendable phone. We do not know how this will be implemented & what advantages it will have.
Again, people cry for innovation & then moan when something potentially good comes around.
I have no idea how this will be implemented so I will not pass judgement until we know more but I will applaud Samsung for bringing something new to the table like when Nokia & Motorola did with their extreme designs.

Facetime=Skype
Apple Music=Spotify
I could go on but you get my point but one thing that SJ done first was Apps Store.
