Samsung begins seeding Nougat to a small batch of Galaxy S7 units

04 January 2017
The update is part of a soak test, but it should represent the one all S7 series owners are about to get.

This so called Nougat sucks air big time, what a waste of a once great phone. Why change the look when everything was sweet, only reason I got it. Back to Motorola I guess

PLAYER SLAYER, 14 Jan 2017Except, the companies aren't coding a whole OS, just their ... moreexcept so do Google and Apple. They just take the previous OS and tweak things around, coding some new features while at it. Considering Samsung does a lot more than skins and bloatware, like knox which takes a ton of work to implement and all their bonus features, without having the same freedom to change fundamental things like Google and Apple do, the workload is about the same. And on top of that, Goolge and Apple have huge software teams at their disposal, Samsung has a small division.

AnonD-191847, 05 Jan 2017You realize Google was working with their devices for more ... moreExcept, the companies aren't coding a whole OS, just their useless skins and bloatware.

Guys don't wait for the update, its sucks keep waiting, I just replaced S7 Edge and got new iphone7.

              Samsung just discriminating only

Exactly! Free some space! Android is so stupid in not allowing batch move of apps to SDcard. Only few apps can be moved. Out of nearly 800 apps only 165 moved to SD. Very useless. By the way: i had 32GB Note 4 and didnt have this problem

ATT has 32 of that bad S7 Edge!

PLAYER SLAYER, 04 Jan 2017You call 4 months late 'quick'?You realize Google was working with their devices for more than 4 months before releasing Nougat, right? Same goes with Apple. It's not like manufacturers take more time and are late, rather the time for the software developers(Google and Apple) fades from public sight because the software isn't officially released yet.
Just count the time from N beta release to final 7.0 if you want proof.
