pul, 26 Jan 2011A question came up in my mind....do we realy need 3D screen... moreLG have 4 options:

1)they just have 2 increase the battery size then the 3D will stay for longer periods without running out of power,

or

2)provide customers with at least 3 batteries with their phone,

or

3)reduce the 3D screen size maybe to 2.5inchs & maintain phone size & shape.

or

4)cutdown on other phone features that don't need 3D screen

otherwise this great phone will only last 1hr with heavy use.

[deleted post]Strange thinking, poor are smarter than the rich. If they are so smart why they are poor? Anyways, one of the best arguments that nokia lost the smartphone battle will come when they will announce the actual number of N8 sold. If it's under 3 million, they are in trouble.

So7t, 26 Jan 2011Couldnt agree more with you!! A question came up in my mind....do we realy need 3D screens for a phone we use all day...???
I mean is it so difficult to view in a normal screen..??
That would have been fine if it would have increased battery backup, but no!
It destroys battery backup! What's the use of a big 4.3" 3D screen if it cant lit up??
If you can not make a call in emergency??
            And same with big processers!
I am not against technolgy....but there should be energy efficiency too!
Putting bigger batteries isn't a solution if you may think...making these type of screens, processers and batteries isnt very ecofriendly!
Just think....what are we leaving for our future generations!

Of course this devices will NOT require glasses... The display LG showed at CES was a GLASSES-FREE 3D display.

What's the point of LG saying we'll "be very surprised shortly, of an actual working 3D device from LG" referring to their CES demo if not?

Tochscreen-phones can, and should, only have the screen on the frontside and the backcover is hidden in the hand when the phone is being used, so touchscreen-phones can only, and should only look like this, and Apple IPhone was first to realise this, so what!?

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2011This is great! Nokia is so very far behind today and it is... moreNokia got brains, they have their own OS.
Also, Nokia knows that if they starting using Android, it'll completelly rule the smartphone market, and Nokia knows that this is not a good thing.
Also, MeeGo will be alot better than Android, it should be optimized just like iOS, not a Java-emulated-crap that only works fast with 1GHZ CPU. Symbian should just be polished in usability terms, but overall, it's far more optimized and functional than that overrated Android OS.

                              This is great!
Nokia is so very far behind today and it is all because they do not want to join the innovative Android-world but try to make their own "Android", MeeGo, and use the outdated Symbian.
Even Apple is starting to have a hard time keeping up with the fast evolving innovativ Android-world, and IPhone5 must be extremly fantastic if Apple want tosurvive.
