Super AMOLED is good, but its not the greatness of the screen. They made the scree treat some colors and modify them to make them crispier.
Retina is unbeatable.

LG is pretty unpopular in my country, not just the phones, it includes others especially monitors and TVs. They have really bad QC. I have quite a few friends who bought LG smartphones, and ALL of them had either hardware or software problems within 2 months of usage. One of my friend had it just after 1 week of purchase. That doesnt happen to other phones, not Samsung, Nokia, SEricsson or Apple.
Also makes me wonder the country manufacturing it might be at fault, if they are imported from *cough* China *cough cough... Different country gets their stock from different countries. Not all LGs are assembled in Korea.
A phone usually has 1 year warranty (some special cases, such as early preorder, u get 2 years). BUT, who cares about warranty when the phone is expected to have bugs? Speaking of inconvenience it causes!

Apple used Samsung processor, but after realizing that its not up to the level of the new iOS4, and that it drains batter quickly, they made their much more powerful, and energy efficient i4 Chip, which they are using in the iPhone4.
HTC never used either the screens not the processors from Samsung. Who told you they are using it. Research before you say something.

To those who prefer LG over Samsung because Samsung phones are copies of the iPhone, look at the Optimus 2X. Doesn't look like HTC phones?
Look at the time widget. Doesn't it look like the one in HTC Sense UI?
I am not a fan of both Samsung and LG, but would like to clear the fact that both companies are copying better copetitors like Apple and HTC.
Only budget people buy LG and Samsung phones. If you want the original, get it from Apple of HTC, and nowhere else in the planet.
End of story ... Just my comment ... Cheerz ...

2011 may be the starting point for the LG phone to win the market share...
it is the right decision to using the tegra and android updated in LG phone...

There are many reasons why LG made a poor years.
1. They are competing in android phone market, it's not possible that every android phone maker wins.
2. LG Tv is pretty good but These last years have been samsungs years.
3. Research for new products do not give winnings and every company have had bad years.

The only problem with LG is there giving out only few units. . and those units were not properly advertised. . as opposed to Samsung, sony ericsson and nokia. . (galaxy lineups are increasing don't forget the wave lineup too. . The xperia lineups and bringing eaasy to use interface for budget minded people. . The N8 was popularly advertised, and they're really dishing out dirty cheap phones like the c3 which gives out a little push) the only popularly advertised LG was the arena. . which is a good phone but never as popular as the c3,n8,galaxy s, wave, x10. . sure phones from the manufacturers have faults too. . like galaxy s instability with android 2.2 or x10 taking too long to get an update. . and the n8 with the least fun to use OS. . but we're talking about reselling business here. . not the tech itself

heres the reason why LG is in loss:
1. LG Optimus one rocks. but the rest fails (hardly any other Android mobile by LG).
2. no Galaxy S & Galaxy 5 competitor. that part of their shares go down the drain.
3. some good ads in TV & yes a more cleaner mobile. not a crapware bombs.
4. better service.
now all depends on Optimus 2X & Black. & also a gingerbread update for O1 that can be rooted.

I believe LG will sell more units on 2011 cause of OPTIMUS 2X and LG B . on GSMARENA blog u can see comparison between OPRIMUS 2X and N8 - OPTIMUS 2X had better camera while N8 made dark videos .

By the way, the LG Optimus One sale is just a blemish to LG - in case you're wasting your time and emotions bashing LG, the Optimus One has sold more than two million units since December, and lots of O1 users were more than happy with the phone. Oh, and the O1 sale has NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER to LG's loss! LG Philippines? Yes. But LG Global? Ha! WRONG!

one way for LG to make a comeback is to improve the quality of their phones and improve their after sales service like hving more service centers like what nokia and smsung are doing here in the philippines. even the chinese made handset MYphone have more service centers. And also their service sucks. while their so-called 1 hour sales promo for the optimus one launch back fire which cause them a lot of potential customers.
