I downgraded to the less featureful and smaller iPhone 7 just because my much more advanced and more featureful S7 edge will eventually have Nougat real soon and it will obviously be the most advanced Android skin out there, but I dont like to wait, i like to constantly updating my phone so that I can brag to all my friends that my phone is more relevent then theirs. I mean, yeah, the S7 edge HAVE bigger and better display, bigger battery, better design, top notch camera, wireless charging capable, have a compact 5.5 inch body, multi window support, edge panel custimization, but hey, I'm willing to throw it all through the window just because the iPhone have many updates but in the same time, still have less feature than any phone on the market. Yeepee!

Beta and sock test is over and still waiting for update and it's not even confirm that all Globle s7 user will get update.January 17 only Europe user will get update.

And even though the Samsung one might be taking a longer to update because there is more software and technology to update their software is already more advanced.
So that even once that samsung stops getting updated and the iPhone still receives them the Samsung will still be more advanced and capable of more.
But no. Your iphone shows a newer number so it's better

Because of discrimination from Samsung I changed whole my family phone to iphone7, what's the point if having expensive phone while no first priority for s7 or s7 edge. U till today no update and I assume that the update will be release after February 2017 and not January 2017.
It's a big joke by Samsung to release update for other brand and not considering their brand customer.
All of the reader I recommend to replace you phone with iphone7

The nerve. Now that an update takes a couple months longer than a phone with half the stand out features that actually makes it less advanced despite already being on that higher number means I hate them and I'm gonna talk crap and ditch them...

If Sammy wouldn't add that horrible touchwiz interface that simply makes me throw away the phone when i see it, i would consider buying one. I'm not saying it's lagging, though it does after a while, I just hate the icons, menu style. Why couldn't they make it like Sony or HTC or even Nexus line?
Either way, if I do migrate to Sammy, maybe s8, I will root it for sure in the first week, just to full debloat their so called features.
I did the same thing on my Sony. No more GPS, Bluetooth, radio, screen mirroring, white ballance, NFC and many more.
Stock version OS has 274 apks and now I have only 105 out of which about 10 were added by me.
Just curious, how many system apps does the S7 have?

Probably a couple of months? Who knows. Sold my note 5 for the IP7 Plus. I'm tired of waiting updates for supposedly a 'flagship' device.

Someone Else, 11 Jan 2017Are there any difference in Samsung's Nougat update than it... moreI think Nougat is a bigger update than Marshmallow ever was. I updated my phone to Marshmallow and I actually preferred Lollipop.
This has Nougats new features, the new faster smoother U.I and the Note 7 features like change resolution to 1080p and 720p and others.
