I think they couldn't go with a better chipset cz lots of money goes on build quality and the whoke process takes a very long time....i mean, hdm has to live up to the "nokia" durability

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2017I alway see you comment this on every thread Nokia thread. ... moreMy first phone was a Nokia. I have had a lot of Nokias in my life starting from Nokia 2310, Nokia X2-01, Nokia Asha 200, Nokia N95, two Nokia N8s. Those were awesome phones because they were completely Nokia both in terms of hardware and software. Nokia had techs of their own like CBD display, FM Transmitter, Awesome Cameras and OS. You heard Microsoft bought Nokia factories, right? So how can this be the original Nokia without their home baked features. For me the real Nokia won't come back unless they bring their own original hardware and software features.

I have a dream that one day... all the cellphones will be sold without OS, like PC and I`ll decide what to have on phone. Nokia has a fresh start, they could do that!

Sampple, 11 Jan 2017I don't understand the fuss over the negativity surrounding... moreSD430 is not EVER meant to be used for a US$250 Android phone, whatever your reason is. ALL Qualcomm SD4xx series SoC is CHEAP, both in performance, quality, AND price.

The only reason HMD priced it US$250 because they think they still can USE Nokia's "brand power" to sell cheap phones TWICE their manufacturing costs. I see HMD try to use Apple's strategy in selling their iphone in 2007, sell it at "reasonable yet still expensive" cost, then slowly raised their price tag in the name of "innovation", "new technology", "better camera", etc. HMD try to build their own "fanatics" like apple did that will buy ANY products with "Nokia" brand in it to sustain their company long enough.

Well, ALL of us can see that the first Nokia's Android phone, Nokia X, XL, X2, are ALL GARBAGE that cost as expensive as Nokia 6, AND HMD try to sell that GARBAGE again to us AND some of us in this comments ARE DUMB enough to remember that and STILL say:

"The device has great specs for its price. SD430 is a very power efficient chip and a SoC doesn't always define the phone. With proper optimizations (which is expected of Nokia), the phone will be buttery smooth. It may not be the power performer that a sd650 might be but a phone is not always about benchmarks"

Hey dude, if THERE ARE better Android phone(s) with better specs and SoC, why bother waste ur money with this "sure-to-disappointed" Nokia phone? Since it was made by Chinese (Foxconn), there are TONS of BETTER Chinese android phones that priced at US$250, even Mi5 64gb version (standard SD820 ones) in my country just cost US$250!
