These gloves allow conduction between the body and the mobile device and are usually costing around $10 for a pair and are pretty warm. So then you say the Nokia N8, C7, and C6-01 are devices not intended towards finland? Funny how its mostly Nokia's entire lower end devices that contains these resistive touch screens huh?

Where's ZTE, they shipped 51.8 million phones and are in number 4 spot.

[deleted post]Resistive touch-screen got its advantagens, you can use with gloves, Finland is a very cold place, maybe that's te reason that Nokia insist so much in resistive screens, my friend lives in Finland and he got a Galaxy Spica, he have to put it out the gloves every time that he need to use his phone, sometimes he uses the phone with his nose.
You can't by any means say that Capacitive is better than Resistive and vice-versa, Resistive is older but still differente technologies and that's all, both have advantages and disavantegse and both appeal to different markets, while Capacitive is better for you, might be better to other culture or country. Don't get me wrong, I prefer capacitive screens too, but resistive got it obviously advantages in some markest and that's why Nokia still launching some mid-end phones with resistive screens.

Interesting that ZTE is not mentioned on the graph. According to the latest IDC report which has just been released they are above Apple in 4th place - both for Q4 and for the full 2010. GSMArena, please, be objective!

[deleted post]I dont think sammy can! Like all those before, they bound to fall from grace cos of mass productions and trying to have a finger on everything at once. Look at others that tried that. They fell cos of the very same strategy. Apple for one are playing it safe. Let them try to diversify and watch the fun then in trying to maintain their focus. One phone cannot take them to #1! Broaden the scope and the market but they are too greedy for that and want maximum profits at that. Their wanting to market all their phones at premium specs would be their limitation to global domination. Well at least they have other ventures to run concurrently to make up the profits but mind you, others also want a piece of that pie! Competition is stiff and gathering momentum quickly. The fight is at the bottom now while Nokia realligns, fortifies and then consolidates their lead in the market. The slip will stop soon and then they'd gain that lost ground quickly.

Also IDC reports Nokia's 2010 market share at only 30.8% But i'm sure you're gonna say the IDC is biased against Nokia and only gsmarena, the only website to give Nokia a higher percentage as being correct and unbiased. HAHA

I used GSMA's search engine to find out how many devices are availiable, per every manufacturer mentioned in the article. I found the devices Share. For example 24 out 270 devices were Nokia's so Nokia had the 8.9% of the devices volume. And the 43.1% of the market share - that was easier.
After 10 minutes in Excel, {% of availiable devices} / {% of market share}:
Htc 2.3/6.3= 0.37
Lg 11.1/25.2= 0.44
Samsung 26.7/36.3= 0.73
SE 4.1/4.8= 0.85
Rim 4.6/3.0= 1.55
Nokia 43.1/8.9= 4.85
Apple 4.5/0.4= 12.2
Blackberry was the surprise for me. They had quite a market share for such a small number of devices...

That is the 43.1% of the market. Why did Nokia gave a estimation of 32%? Either there is a mistake or Nokia ripped a$$.
