This is where HTC shines. HTC phones maybe crap nowadays but their audio is the best on phones.

Tourettes Guy, 13 Jan 2017In short, Samsung would still suck in terms of audioSony walkman and smartphone are trash, only their head/earphones are good, just good not the best. For digital audio player i trust Astell & Kern and Fiio, for the headphone i trust AKG, Shure and Sennheiser.
Sony audio only for amateur audiophiles with some fancy gimmick features.

I really don't understand people going on about speaker music on phones??? If I want to listen to music I use in ear headphones not be like sad irritating people on public transport blaring music out and annoying everyone else!
Whatever happens the S8 will still sell!

As for Samsung many people buy Samsung because Samsung forces shops to only have their assortment which gives the idea that besides Apple there's only Samsung. As for my own situation I've decided that my Galaxy S5 would be my last Samsung phone. But unfortunately I haven't bought another phone since and in fact still use that S5 as my daily driver. Since all handset manufacturers are fucking up (no headphone-jack? Who's crazy idea is THAT?) I haven't felt the need to upgrade. Especially since my S5 is today still faster than many newer phones and still run all the apps that I require. I also believe that I'm not as vulnerable to propaganda as many others (with regards to supposed "security patches" and OS upgrades).
