Harman is known as a premium quality band, Samsung is not, actually they are known for the opposite. Not bad, but cheap and rarely premium.

sr777, 13 Jan 2017So true, that's why nobody buys Samsung products. Err no. HTC has had the best audio quality but people don't buy based on audio quality nor headphone jacks (otherwise the iPhone wouldn't have sold any). They buy based on branding and their wallets and after sales support.

Wonder if Harman's shares will fall all the way back to 77.91 (early Nov price) if the offer is blocked...

"Samsung agreed to pay $112 per share, a 28% premium on the day and 37% higher than the average share price for November (Harman shares currently trade at just over $110)."

So, what the problem? Isnt Samsung paying more? Shareholders...typical greedy businessmen. In the end they will get nothing. $0 deal.

In short, Samsung would still suck in terms of audio
