Second: I never claimed windows mobile has more market share, since i already talked about it, i let you do the search of what i have said;). Windows is not my precious i have a lot a precious things in my life, windows is just an OS that happens to be good. Just cause i do not like people that have nothing to say besides acting like children that fight over who's remote car toy is faster does not mean i idolize a computer system. Living under a Rock? You are funny, i see a lot of this type of guys you talk about, i like showing them the rock daily...on this site. And nope, i was not aggressive, quite at all. As for windows mobile, i never claimed W.M. hast more share then android, i claimed windows 10 has more share then android, suggesting also CLEARLY that windows 10 is NOT just a mobile platform. As long as their is Windows 10, windows mobile is not dead;). Assumptions are in your head, being to quick to say nothing...again. But i forgive you, don't make to much case about it. Now, fetch that coat and go outside, make a snowman! Will help your mind release the frustration and hate towards an operating system...

Do us a favor and be quiet, spare us of your "superior intellect" making up things. You're the one frustrated here that your WM is dead and doesn't have any marketshare. So be happy in your niche but don't be coming here saying you know it all.

It has more sharing then your android. Windows 10 is not just a mobile platform, get your head out of the sand. P.s if i wanted an android device i would have bought one;). Is not like this rubbisch of a system is a niche OS, and hard to be found. For heaven sake. This days, it can be found in a trash can. So, now do yourself a favor and fly. Take your frustration with you;).

Don't t... moreEven so, I find Windows 10 w/ the anniversary update to be better than Android in almost all ways. I've switched from the OnePlus2 to the 950XL a few months ago, and now I wouldn't want to go back to Android, as it feels, looks, and works in an outdated manner when compared to Windows.
Maybe you mean to say that the smaller app store is a problem? Well, it depends on which apps you consider "essential" to have on your phone. Even though 3rd party apps are usually better than official ones, as they offer more features and sometimes no ads.
If Windows had 1m apps in their store, then everyone would agree that it's a better OS than both Android and iOS combined. It's actually a mix of the two - the best features of both worlds.

Well, I need this phone! But it's not sold in my country, unfortunately.
And I don't understand why people "hate" Windows phones, when they know nothing about them and only rely on rumours and stuff they've heard from other people years ago...
Windows 10 with the anniversary update is of much higher quality than Android is, for example. Live tiles are better looking, more customizable, and more useful than static icons or buggy and battery/CPU draining widgets that look and work differently for each app. And then there's the security. Windows is the most secure OS currently on the market. And the smart features. And the more polished look and feel of the OS. And the standard apps being of higher quality than what you get on Android or iOS.
So I really don't understand the hate. Hate it because it's better? Hate it because you blindly like another OS and can't accept the fact that some other OS is better than the one you like? Well... That's sad.

So your bad decision has turned into bitterness. Even at such a small percentage out of a billion users is a lot. Most of the people that go to these sites are usually techy in some way. A large percentage are MS users. I was actually surprised when a phone arena did a poll on what type of phone people used and Microsoft was 2nd place I believe after Samsung. MS made some bad plays and it was too late for them. However, they do have a chance now that the smartphone market has plateaued and in need of an uplift. Even foldable phones can re-invigorate the market and MS may be able to produce something that could gain popularity like their surface products. They only need a large enough premium user base to kick start their ecosystem. Plus their new cellular tablets/hybrid/laptops running full windows on snapdragon 835 will help the ecosystem as well.

My Sister has this phone for a couple of weeks now. She got it because her Nokia 925 was giving her problems and the insurance gave her a Galaxy ON5 as her replacement. I got her a Fierce XL with Windows for Christmas. Turns out she was still having problems with the phone. We tried to move her Windows contacts over to Android but had no luck. So she decided to splurge and get the Idol 4S. She likes the phone and found out the problem was with her Microsoft account. It some how got corrupted and made multiple contacts in the cloud. Some contacts where listed about 500 to a 1000 times. She tried to use the system to clean it up but to no avail. So she has started the process of doing it manually and it is starting to work. My Sister has had Windows phone since the HTC HD7 first came out and has three hotmail accounts. So she is stuck in the Windows Ecosystem for now. She does not like Apple because all her friends have them.

If it is the app gap, that's because some third party apps developers aren't making it for the OS, but you always get an alternative for any important app. E.g. I don't use my mail app much (it is a very great app with lots of features. I receive hundreds of mails with pictures and attachments in all my mail boxes in a day. I feel my storage will get filled up quicker), I simply use web application, then pin it to my start screen, you won't even remember you're using web app cos of the new 4G LTE speed.
Snapchat and pokemon go to me are not essential apps, there are plenty of interesting games available on WP. WhatsApp is the leading chatting app, so if I need to get a message across to anyone I use WhatsApp (I will not kill myself because snapchat is not available for WP).
Windows phone OS to me is the best mobile OS. It is the most secured mobile platform in the world right now and it does everything it need to do effortlessly.
