A lot of improvement, one thing which I missed a lot is to tap to wake up. Tap to slee Is also good but we need Tap to wake up because it saves the wear and tear of the button for this purpose.

The settings are quite easy for me.
I have no lag and I'm using Xperia Z on Lollipop 5.1.1. My phone is rooted and I've switched my home Launcher with Buzz.
As for the adds, try to disable notifications of the app.
I also use AdAway (works only on rooted phones).

Thats why i went with nova but that doesn't mean nova is perfect as it still has some difficulties.

I don't dislike Nova but it's fans are breaching into the Linux Diehard zone, they never shut their greasy traps about it as if every phone runs Nova equally... Which it sure as heck does not.

AnonD-292864, 14 Jan 2017It seems you didn't try Nova Launcher.I've tried Nova, Apex, Go Launcher and Buzz. There are others but they're not really worth mentioning.
My thoughts about Nova Launcher free version:
                - Cannot change icon or folder size
                - Cannot use GIFs as icons or folders (animated icons)
                - Limited scroll effects
                - Cannot hide apps
                - No gesture controls
Everything mentioned above is free on Buzz. You also have Buzz Widget where you can make your own widgets however you like from scratch.
Even Apex is better than Nova..

Hence I use iphone for all my app requirements but keep going back to Lumia for usual phone stuff.

I love this OS, it is far better than Android and IOS. I completely agree that MS can't do much for app gap but my point is that they should make their own browser as good as its PC's counterpart so that at least those banking app should not bother us.

AnonD-292864, 14 Jan 2017It seems you didn't try Nova Launcher.Obviously, Nova launcher is the best option if you're into customization. Nova is the only launcher used by all the YouTube videos that show how to heavily customize.

Arrow doesn't offer that much customization, it is more of productivity oriented launcher.

Of course you can make Nova to look like Arrow but you can't make it work like it.

Great launcher only problem is inbuilt weather widget drains battery due to accessing gps most of time.

zeeshan.mazhari, 14 Jan 2017My words. This company is really putting in a lot of effort... moreYou cannot tape up a broken record and expect it to sound any less grating.

Which company keeps putting eggs in their basket that doesn't make them money anymore? SEARS? Radio Shack?

Android is obviously the more profitable venture, so all these crocodile tears over a platform you probably never use is pointless.

The best Launcher out there is by far Buzz Launcher. I've tried them all and this one has the best features and customizations and it's free.
You can even change the icons with gif files. Search on Google for transparent gifs and you will get the best visual effects!
Also it has free gestures, a thing that usually you get in the payed version of the other launchers.

The mentioned features are currently available only to beta users. I only like few features of this launcher. It automatically adds most used app in an App page so most commonly used apps can be easily accessed with a swipe. And you can arrange the order in reverse so that most used app are easier to reach at bottom. This is my favorite feature, but I revert back to my Huawei's default launcher. I don't like app drawers and I need more screens than one to arrange my apps. Arrow launcher is more focused on productivity, like quick access to more used apps, quick access to recent activity and etc.
