AnonD-456472, 14 Jan 2017what people dont understand is that microsoft is not doing ... moreDo you think people at Apple don't know this? lol.

Apple does the same thing with their music service. BlackBerry, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Share-It App all these companies have their services in competing platforms for the same reason, they want to increase their user base. It is beneficial to the users as well.

zeeshan.mazhari, 14 Jan 2017My words. This company is really putting in a lot of effort... moreman, It takes a lot more to make an os popular. Not that they did not put in efforts. They worked really hard and made a slick os in relatively short time. I wonder if there is another company that can replicate what they have done in a short time. However, they miserably failed to fill the app gap coz they themselves can't make every possible app for their own os. They had to depend on third party vendors for their respective apps. Third parties did not put effort as they didn't see any need to support a third ecosystem with very less market share that also didn't bring anything drastically new to the table apart from a new interface and some efficient resource usage. The market share newer grew because of lack of app support. It all went into a vicious circle and drowned the os. I am saying all this while holding a 640XL in my hands.

Arthur Ho, 14 Jan 2017Seriously tho, with all these Android apps, Microsoft may j... moreor, far better, they could try to make a version of android (since it's opensource) and implement microsoft services.
but microsoft and linux have not always agreed well.
microsoft already has a blackmail-powered relationship with samsung, and tizen can run android apps, so there is yet another option.

what people dont understand is that microsoft is not doing this for users, microsoft is trying to hook you up to bing, office etc on android, so that you would still benefit them while using android. just like google does on IOS. apple has not realized this yet.
i would give this launcher a shot if i had a smartphone right now, they took my note 7 and now im waiting for s8

Seriously tho, with all these Android apps, Microsoft may just forget about W10M and just build a Android which focus on Microsoft apps + Google services (Just like BlackBerry). It will gain even more customer than theh had now.

zeeshan.mazhari, 14 Jan 2017My words. This company is really putting in a lot of effort... morewhich is why i gave up on WP and W10M. Seems like to me in order to enjoy MS services better the way to go is Android or iOS. Way better support and updates.

My words. This company is really putting in a lot of efforts to make their apps error free for Android. I am just thinking if they would have spent their time, energy, and expertise to their own platform, it would have been a nice OS till now.
