Anonymous, 16 Jan 2017Shame on HTC, completely forgot A9 I will never buy again htc. That's the price you pay for a midrange phone. It's always been this way and is the same for all manufacturers.

I also note that most people who put the hate on HTC are people from the US who have bought weird models forced on them by their carrier.

Stick to the internationally recognised models and if you can afford it a high end model as that is where you get your long term support.

AnonD-623692, 16 Jan 2017Worst BRAND No IPS No OLED. Worthless.Haha. Nice joke! As if the screen method makes any real difference. That's like me saying Touchwiz makes the s7 worthless. Sure it's the main reason I'd never buy a Galaxy phone but I'm happy to accept other people might not have my hate for it. As such, I could never call it 'worthless'.

it looks like HTC foxing on the US market only.
they will roll out the nougat for A9 for the US tonight.
be careful HTC you almost lose the customers out of US.

HTC does have a track record of over-promising and then under-delivering. The HTC 10 promised superior battery life, but the GSMA & other battery test just showed an above average performance. It good to know that the HTC 10 will soon get Nougat, but it's sad that they reneged on their promise to bring every Android update to HTC One A9 within 15 days of the Nexus line receiving it,

Better chose older flagships than newer mid-ranges for the better support. If we are talking about Motorola or Apple or Nexus phones, that is different. I hope that once HTC will only release 6-7 phones to start updating more, even all of them. Why would you buy something like E9? If you do it because it's cheaper, then you understand the fact that it will not be updated. I would suppose the price of E9 plus is between M8 and M9, so you should have got the M9 probably to get update to even 7.0.

HTC are well known for reneging on Update promises. E9+ never even got to 6 even though it was sold with that as a feature.
