and yet tracfone customer who had 2G phone still didn't received his replacement 3G phone yet bad service. smh

This is very bad! There a lot of alarm GSM systems that need 2G GSM to operate! Now whoever has those devices has to either move to another carrier or throw them out if there are no more 2G carriers! Also, the worst of all, whoever doesn't have phones with 3G, they will be useless and whoever wants to buy a simple, cheap GSM phone (such as the Nokia 230) will not be able to now! Hopefully in Europe 2G GSM will still remain longer!
