Omg, those huuuge bezels!!
Sony has no excuse for that, too huge for stereo speakers and waterproof need to excuse.
As for the stereo speakers, I consider the dammest way to use ones mobile to walk around on the streets and hold your phone to your ear, playing music with the external speakers...
Yeah, those kind of ppl wouldn't mind the extra bezel and less screen estate...

People would love to buy a Sony phone over any Chinese brand for its brand value even if they sell it $30- $40 over them. Sony is struggling because they ask for double than competition. Even though their products are compelling, they simply don't go off self at those prices.

Sony used glass in a different way. The glass used is more durable and can accomodate water protection, something Apple only caught up with the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus (see how many light years behind Apple is?)
It took Samsung with the S7 and S7 Edge before making a "decent" waterproof phone. S5 didn't even compare to the Z3 during its time in terms of waterproofing

Pixel is definitely ugly. But I think the ugliest phone ever made has to be the lgg5. It just looks so damn cheap and ugly its definitely the worst by far.
People don't understand that everyone is pretty much following Sony when they set up the trends. Everyone now is trying to get ip68 when Sony had this way before samsung. Samsung has dual glass back when Sony had this before.
In fact sony has moved way past the glass sandwich design and has innovated with unique alkaleido metal. That is not only superior to glass in durability (not cracking etc) but is also superior aestehtically in that it gives it this really unique shine that changes color at every angle (happens with the forest blue not sure about the other colors).
sony is so ahead of the game I don't understand why people can't think for themselfs instead they just follow what everyone else says. Great design, dual front facing speakers, ip68, alkaleido metal that samsung will copy, hi-res audio, 23mp, rgbc sensor, laser focus, 13mp front (as much as iphones rear WOW), NC chip, dual microphone, the best EIS, amazing software, best display.
You're like the only person here who speaks the truth.

Get a life.
Face the fact that all of SONY's phones are overpriced asf for what they provide, here in Brazil they sell a phone with MediaTek SoC for the same price as a flat Galaxy S7, no wonder they are having a hard time in their mobile division.

And oh, in your other comment you said that Samsung got inspired by Sony on the glass backs, well, if I recall Xperia Z was announced 2013, maybe they got inspired by iPhone 4/4S from 2010 and 2011, respectively.

The X Style has smaller top and bottom bezels because the phone is on a larger footprint, so bezels are definitely going to be smaller. Motorola dual front-facing stereo speakers never compares to Sony's REAL dual front-facing stereo speakers

Another example is Moto X Style, stereo front speakers with much smaller bezels and much higher screen-to-body ratio.
