Anonymous, 24 Jan 2017...too big (due to bezels mostly). Samsung did the right... moreAre u saying s8 mini in making?? Although i believe there's nothing wrong with A3's design and it doesn't make any sense to deliberately spoil a product with inferior specs. A3's size is also very comfy for smaller hands with just 66 mm width.

I can use even 10" screen with my regular sized hands. However for a mobile phone which I have to carry in my pocket I prefer the body size below ~145 x 75 x 9 mm. Hereby I'm not sure what would be the reasonable max screen to body ratio.

Don't tell these turds, they are canvasimg to pass the information to a^ple, they have not one good thing to say about Samsung everything is
        ..note 7 fiasco, and
..ooh (tommy) coopertino giant. Let a^ple spend thier own R an D money for a change, instead of passing Italian tax money to thier investors. Let them take a gamble like Samsung on spendimg billions to provide the publics needs. Better to false vote ot tell em 10.5 inch in the comment section. Or plain , mind your own business.

regs, 22 Jan 2017Xperia Compact series, iPhone. They are being sold 3-4 time... moreMy comment was about Android so don't talk about iPhone. And xperia compacts ? They sold more than their bigger counterparts because there were better alternatives at higher size but almost monopoly at high end compacts. And u must know what Sony did to that line. X compact do not have a high end chipset, neither biggest staple of Sony flagships ie waterproofing, nor a stellar battery life like older compacts. So ur examples of iPhone and compacts both fit with my opinion that days of small high end Androids are gone.

I think that the size will help the design but there is not better thing that using your phone with just one hand.

Gibby , 23 Jan 2017Lots of people posting opinions based on their small hands.... moreMost people have small hands. You forget childrent, women and people below 175cm in general.

I think we should listen with people with small hands, they're the majority. Anything above 140x70mm is squarely a phablet for most people. There should always be a phone closer to 12x X 6x mm (like Xperia minis or smaller) ... companies don't make those (only Sony and Apple and both suck by not bring flagships)

Samsung did the right thing to spoil it through specs because a slightly bigger S8 (about 140x67mm) would be able to be as compact plus having an 1 inch bigger screen.

Problem with current minis, is that are neither minis nor do they have big enough screens.

A true mini would be an 120x60mm phone with 5 inch screen. It's possible through the zero bezels scheme. Small as the original iphone, but with a useful screen (iphone SE is also very small, but its 4 inch screen makes it useless for current apps that are made to work for 5 inches and up comfortably).

So yeah, a good mini is possible as long as it doesn't follow A3's design ... which was atrocious (nor true mini, too small screen).

Look at Samsung A3 2017 it could have been a killer handy sized phone of 2017 but Samsung deliberately spoiled it with inferior specs, Thus spoiling the concept of mini powerhouse device. I hope such devices fail in the market and phone designers and eng. get sacked.

Samsung has started this large screen thing and to me this is nothing but impracticality and stupidity. Today there's hardly any powerful handy android device available in the market.

I said once I said twice times have changed people preferences and needs also. The today requirements want us to deal with bigger screens that's completely normal people like to go big so "go big or go home" and remember A large screen makes things just so much easier.

                                  I voted "Where's the 5.1" Galaxy S8 FLAT SCREEN?"
