I think Nokia is in denial, they don't wanna believe that they are no longer what they used to be, if they somehow come to terms with it, it will only benefit them in the long run!

1-this price is initial (maybe in preorder). After 1 month will drop, for sure
2-before any critical comments i suggest to keep in hands this phone. This is not shaisung or another piece of s... . Despite relatively slow processor the rest of this phone (specially quality of built) is exceptional .
You can compare nokia only to iphone. The rest of market is producing total crap.

You people know that E7 has actually BETTER red and blue color resolution than Galaxy S right?

I think Elop is secretely surbotaging Nokia from the inside. 599 Euro fer this? There is just no ways! Give it 512MB of RAM, 1600mAh battery, and a Cortex A8 processor THEN we'll talk. Im fine with Symbian(itz waaay more sophisticated/advanced than Android anyway, forget the fancy UI)

Y ppl worry about high price? If u like t phone, wait n let others buy first. I believe after 3 month, some bugs will fix and price will go down. Super fans will get chop first, then follow buy no patience fans. I believe nokia still make quality hp, just I can't stand their OS. Try to load many apps in N8, then u know what I mean!

599 euro is way to expensive for this 360x640 176 g outdated Symbian! 299 euro would be a more reasonable prise for this Symbian.
What will the price be on N9 with MeeGo, or Android, if an outdated Symbian is this expensive?
Nokia will not survive as a company if theythinkanyone will spend this much money on an outdated Symbian!

I bet this phone is still stuck with a 360x640 resolution with a processor not even reaching 1Ghz. Plus it's running Symbian for 599 EUROS!

                        Rest in peace Nokia.

I agree especially seams it is still running sybian. But if you look at the Nokia N9, it's a very simlar design to this. So my guess would be that they want to get it in the consumers mind that for this kind of design you should pay big money because the N9 won't be cheap.

Not sure Nokia knows what they are doing these days. They have already lost #1 mobile OS in the world. Do they really think that by asking 599 euro for a Symbian^3 phone would turn it around? I used Symbian phone for over 10 years and now with Android. There is NO WAY, I mean NO WAY I would switch back to Symbian again!

give it month or two and the price will start to drop! typical nokia strategy. same thing is happening now to nokia's C3, N8 and C7 and almost all their phone actually.
