Anonymous, 26 Jan 2017flexible ... LCDs ... BLEH! Enjoy the sucky viewing angles.... moreJust looking at my Xperia XZ from extreme angle i don't see any problem with viewing angle the display just get dimmer but other than that everything is fine.

If consumer can get flexible display with cheaper price than OLED i don't see anything wrong with that.

And I read an article I think here on gsmarena that amoled screens now cost less than lcds, so all your information are wrong.

I prefer they improve the contras and make it more power efficient because curved screen is not my thing at least when it comes to smartphone and tv

Some devices is planned to have more than 2~4 year usage age.
Considering AMOLED burn-in problem, those devices is better off with LED.

flexible ... LCDs ... BLEH! Enjoy the sucky viewing angles. Honestly if you go flexible, it's amoled or bust. Some companies don't want to pay the pretty penny so they go the cheap knock off road ... I hope consumers won't rewards that behavior.

When the production itself begins in 2018, how can we expect it "soon" as the article headline suggests?
