Again, Sony would probably skip on the OIS, and not get the most out of its camera sensor.
And it probably wouldn't have a VR headset (because Sony didn't join the group) - and could VR be implemented without an OLED screen?
And 6GB memory wouldn't happen, because Sony is always behind...

AnonD-558092, 26 Jan 2017Assuming it is Daydream-ready or this 4K screen is useless.... moreNot that far actually, for a snapdragon 650, it's much more optimize and fluid than the Snapdragon 810 Z5 compact, same goes for the camera (manual user) a really improve details and colors thanks to the 3 sensors like the XZ, much efficient battery than the Z5 Compact, the only thing the Z5 is better is gaming performance especially emulators (hello of course snapdragon 810), water resistance and DESIGN, I still love the Z5 compact's design
and Oh, I own a Z5 Compact :)

Hopefully Sony will consider a flagship in the 5-5.15" inch range and a return to their focus on long lasting battery life.

Assuming it is Daydream-ready or this 4K screen is useless. And I'd like to see another flagship entry in the Compact series (the X Compact is far from the Z5 Compact)

Hopefully, if this is a worthy successor to the Z5 Premium coupled with a large battery and a competitive price, then Sony will probably steal the show at MWC. As it stands, Samsung and Xiaomi are not planning to unveil any flagships there.

amazing!! if these rumors are true then sony will steal the MWC show along with Nokia i believe and leaves lg and other companies to the dust!!!
look like Sony is the only OEM carry SD835 expect sammy..if they managed to priced €700 and €800 then it will be great seller!!
and in IFA probably a bezel less phone..fingers crossed!

Finally Sony taking on the big boys, where are those people saying Sony specs are so yesterday. Brace yourselves with 3gb of ram the Xz almost destroyed the s7 and most phones on the market. Sit tight the big guns are coming for you!

No seriously, there's no point in Sony releasing high-end or flagship handsets if they are still going to keep the bezels (specifically the top and bottom ones) as large as they are. I don't mind their angular design (it's their signature at this point) but they've got to release something which is impressive not only on paper but also aesthetically. Fingers crossed that they get the message that it's 2017. Other than that, looking forward to what they show.

Their phones are quite slim. How long does any sony battery last with 4K? It's also slim which means it can't be like 100% bigger than in their current phones.
