Alien , 27 Jan 2017The Z5 Premium which has a 4K display is using full resolut... moreI think it'll make more sense to have 4K resolution all the time, but just give the users the access to change the resolution even up to 720p just like Samsung can. Preferably, 4K would be significant on large screen estate, while 1080p is more than enough on 5-5.2" screen. QHD is just ideal for tablets, but for the sake of hype, Sony decided to go to 4K to catch up in terms of marketing. If the phone will have 3,500+ mAh battery if not necessarily 4,000, this will be an excellent performer, given Sony's great optimization on battery. I really can't wait for Sony to put CLEDIS technology on their smartphones, which will destroy both the worlds of AMOLED and LCD as it gets the advantages of the two, then remove their major drawbacks at the same time. Might be possible next year, but I have high hopes that Sony would switch to OLED this year if not this early (IFA)

The rest of the time it's using 1080x1920 resolution. So the battery life will be great if the successor will work the same. Add Qnovo battery technology and this baby will last for years.
I myself will choose the 5-5.2" version as 5.5" seems too big for me. Let's just hope it runs the same SD835 though.
There was a guy asking for VR. Sony has one of the best VR systems out there and it works with PlayStation, which is far more advanced than most of the mobile VRs out there.

as for the VR
they don't really need it for the mobile, they have Playstation VR
and as a Sony Enthusiast , I don't really need a VR for the Phone, I have PS4 :P
OIS? no need, they have 5 axis image stabilization the same as those of the top tier Sony Alpha series line-up , haven't heard an OIS and 5 axis combination from them, since 5axis performs better than OIS in their camera's, what they really need for their Xperia's is to implement it too when taking a shot not only in videos.

Powerful and battery... moreDefinitely agree but it's too early, maybe late 2017 for the Compact version again but this time a flagship compact again, because the X compact is entirely a compact version of the Xperia X (maybe to be cheap?) because the X compact's price is cheaper than the Z5 Compact, Sony is the king when it comes to Compact phones.

Sony is the best when it comes to functions of the phone a decent and sweet menu look up atleast not jumbled up they have just simplified everything and my friends try using one u would find the difference in the flawless performance... Somethings to note a sony devices will lag when u have all ur apps in internal memory, pls don choke ur phones transfer them to sd card to have flawless use

People always know one important thing thats until and unless u don use SONY u wont understand what u exactly hold a phone or plastic compass box like others..theres a reason why they don rush with the big rams and socs...cause they know the quality they use is though enough for other devices...and about camera people their cam is perfect just a lil messing up with features is what we need common we experiment everything in life why not just play around with the cam... If they make cams which aint worth why would they be a supplier for everyone... Think make believe....
