He'll the Note 7 was a mini bomb and Samsung still made a massive profit. If people will still by Samsung after they exploded they will still buy Samsung if it's not theiron ideal screen size

Stop whining....if you dont like big phones buy the smaller one no problems...if samsung can somehow squeeze a 6.3"display into the size of a galaxy note 7 which was marginaly bigger the s7e then you have my money all day long...its about choice it will work wonders with my drone controller and wonderful for films and gaming on the move when a laptop is to much

If the will have those sizes in the next S generation they are morons. 5,7 and 6.3.Go to hell. Many of us still want the 5.1-5.5 version. No need extra chopping board at home.

The Notes are all about the S-pen and if someone who bought a Note does not use it, then he has made the wrong choice, especially these days, with so many great, big-screen, powerful phones.

The thing is when you are a large brand smartphone maker you should do smartphones for the most of clients . Some customers want higher specs , some of them want smaller price ,some of them want bigger size , some of them want medium , some smaller .
In my opinion S series should be 5-5,1 inch S8 , 5,5-5,8 S8 plus , 5,8-6,2 inch note series( With S pen) 4,5-4,7 inch S8 compact . In that case every customer can buy whatever he like . If they will make only big sizes customers who want smaller phones will be lost , if they will make smaller the customers who want bigger size will be lost . They have to make models for this type a client .

How useful are the curved sides of the screen...except the beautiful look and making it easier to hold the phone. I really pay attention to the actual flat usable surface. Which one of the two phones ppl choose will also depend on battery size.
I am certain the 5.7" curved model will out sell the 6.3" curved model cuz it will offer the best in hand feel.

Owning a Z5 Premium I can tell you for sure, since it's a slippery overall phone, if it wasn't for its upper and down bezels I would have already shredded it. The comfort it gives you to have nice bezels when you're gaming on landscape mode is undeniable. Less impressive, sure. Less beautiful, sure. But ergonomics are nothing to be compared with it. My brother owns a S7 Edge and despite its beauty he and I caught myself numerous times touching accidentally the screen or being half a mm close to fall from our hands. Slim bezels are nice, no argument here, but ergonomics will win every day, every single time. No one likes sth that can't be touched literally or metaphorically! 😉

Oh I just checked the vote and those in favour of the new 5'7 of S8 size took the first place and the 5'1 took the second place. And the 6'3 took the third place. I am for 5'7 too. The 5'7 will seem like 5'2 or 5'3 in hand because of the bezel-less design. Excellent piece.

I am too excited about this phone, because the type of screen quality and the design and the size and the specs they are bringing to bear will be above the word wonderful or amazing of you like. Is a big screen yet small body, so great. The truth is people bought the S7 edge much more than the S7. It's because of the size and the screen design so Samsung is very wise. But yet it would have been nice for them to still do the flat screen in the S8 with the same size dimensions. Some people still like the flat screen more than the dual curved.

[deleted post]Yeah, how polite of you. 6 more mm on width, 3 more on both edges than the last generation that was already big. Not everyone has mammoth hands to handle it single-handed. And Edge display must really improve handling.
