[deleted post]Have you ever seen an iPhone plus models compared to other flagships with a larger screen, Nexus 6P for example, a larger screen can easily fit into i7+ blueprint. With the Galaxy devices, what we've heard so far, is that they will fit a larger screen into the same blueprint

AnonD-456829, 29 Jan 20176.3 inches for a Mobile phone? Really? And who would carry ... moreAgain, it allegedly has a 18.5 : 9 screen so its width should be the same as current models.

They just drop the hardware button and bezels of both sides, then extend their screen height.

I sense that some of the voters also have some misconception like yours

But they have the same design since the first xperia Z , you don t know what model you have without use it , and the camera is weak compare to Samsung . But if S8 will be that gigantic i prefer it

Just now, are companies implementing them, because the smartphhone market is becoming so stale from the lack of other new ideas

Samsung should make the S8 plus screen size at 6.4"-6.6" which is the ideal phablet for most taller guys 5'8" in height or taller. The Asus Zenfone 3 ultra at 6.8" was way too big although they're ok for a few who are towering 6'0" tall in height and above. 5.5"-6.0“ screen sizes would be ideal for most guys 5'7" tall and below. A screen size smaller than 5.5" is already considered passe. Unless Apple ups again its iPhone screen size to 6.0", or at least 5.8", it will continue its downtrend in sales volume.

if you can get 5.8 in the body of s7 I think many will choose that one. It's a good compromise. Just have to see battery life and that fingerprint position.

No matter what poll you do, the reality is, the supposed new S8 will not reach consumers expectations, but don't worry there are much better alternative options

Finally the technology has advanced so much that they allow small bezels!!
2017 will be a bezel contest. S8 seems to have better bezel ratio than the s8plus.
I don't think that dual cameras matter to anyone than iseeps.
What matters is how far one can go without compromising the portability. Apparently what we loved in S7edge was its width, anything wider than is not comfortable in hand, s8plus is as tall as S7edge, but significantly wider. For the ones who can afford both a phone and a tablet, the8plus width is quite an issue!
The second criteria is battery capacity, the 8plus only has 500mah more to feed the bigger screen, less than the difference S7edge had with s7, probably not enough to make the width sacrifice...
And the third criteria is the difference in price, the s8plus will be apparently be more expensive, yet the so will apparently be as strong, going above 1000$ is the final frontier for some...
