AnonD-196068, 30 Jan 2017The display is far more infuential than the SoC and that is... moreI'll be fine, the screen size increase from the S6 edge+ will be only minor and pixel amount increase incredibly minor, and the battery increases by 500 mAh + the 10nm processor which does play a big part if you do something power intensive on the CPU. The 10nm processor power efficiency will only really show when it's under real use such as in graphics-intensive gaming, but on idle and web browsing use the screen does use the most battery, correct

I have no time to play intensive games on my phone during the day, and that's mostly why I have +50% left of a 3000mAh battery on a 16nm processor at the end of the day (while having WhatsApp and Kik open the whole day, partly Samsung battery optimization too?), and when I do play something graphics-intensive, I always have a charger on hand

Set a high CPU usage app. running and turn off the display with it running in the background, then just play a video. I guarantee the the video will drain the battery much faster.

Even if it doesn't happen in the s8, i hope someone would make a fingerprint scanner underneath the display like previously rumored.

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2017The non-plus version leaks really are underwhelming so far,... moreVery very bad analysis instead it's ahead in the competition by using 3,600mah they downgraded to 3,500? 10nm processor in 3,600mah is greater than 10nm in 3,500mah used your common sense.

Well, let see then, its just a render anyway not a final design :D

Even more so if you use Qualcomm's SoCs

Actually given current leaks S8 would probably be worse in certain key aspects as compared to S7 (a bit of how S6 was worse than S5 in several key aspects as well; i.e. no waterproofing, no removable storage/battery, worse battery; with Samsung those things happen)

EtcSD835 cpu is not that faster from last year's Exynos, so don't expect wonders there (10% at most). GPU would be better indeed, but no game can max GPUs from 2 years ago even , so gpu is irrelevant.

The front design is great, the screen is very eye catching. But fingerprint placed next to camera module is bad news for user. I believe the performance of SD835 will have significant improvement than SD821, but not so sure for less battery consume that SD821. But for sure the fast charge will get better. 4 gig or 6 gig RAM? Does it matter! Samsung shoud make 2 variants or probably 3 variants for hard fan of spec-holic with 8 gig RAM.
