AnonD-639355, 29 Jan 2017"at $150... quite the bargain compared to other wireless ea... moreBut you're comparing apples (no pun intended) to oranges! I hate those ear buds that gives you the "plugged ear" feel with a passion. Show me non-in-ear buds that is on the same quality as the EarPods and I will try them immediately.

In most cases, the reason why the Ear/AirPods sound like crap is because the Pods don't fit their ear properly. However, you can easily remedy this by covering them with those foam covers. They will keep the Pods in your ear, and gives you the very important semi seal it needs to good get bass.

Someone needs to explain the word cheap! In my working class world, cheap is a 5 - 10 on Amazon, for some in ear, wired headphones. The ones I get at the moment for a couple of quid I would put head to head with these for sound quality. I got some wireless headphones for 20 which are awesome. 150 - 250 for headphones is ridiculous they're not even studio cans. I wouldn't buy a phone without a headphone jack. Just a con.

Roffy, 29 Jan 2017no but it will activate a self destruct in the phone as you... moreApple owns Beats, so, only the headphones will destruct, so you'll have to buy new ones, or pay a premium for yours to be repaired.

"They are truly wireless, ya pleb!"

Who actually gives that much a crap about this? I mean humor me a $15 pair of earbuds last longer in both life and comfort than a pair of ear mushrooms. Apple really brought back their 'Puck Mouse' design philosophy full force, but of course they can get away with it.

AnonD-282169, 29 Jan 2017I tried to fit these things in my ear, they just cannot fit... moreIt's the usual shlock of people misinterpreting innovation as some excuse for a company to push crappily designed products.

Loyal consumers are, to a staggering degree, impressionable. Not really born with a gut instinct.

You don't like these? Expect to get a "well you never tried them" regardless of legitimate experience.

I tried to fit these things in my ear, they just cannot fit, whatever i did, even inverting them to the other ear, tired all kinds of positions, they don't fit. Apparently i'm not the only one experiencing this. Why would they remove the headphone jack and force users to use these crappy designed headphones?

"at $150... quite the bargain compared to other wireless earbuds..."

No way. There's tons of good wireless earbuds out there.

Pretty much everything of comparable sound quality costs $30, and they have a tether built in so you can rest them on your neck when not listening.

With these pointless things, you have to pay $10 extra for an add-on strap on top of the $150 price tag - otherwise if you knock one loose, it's not even tethered to the other.

Even better - audiophiles would instead buy a tiny Bluetooth adapter for $20, and plug their favorite earbuds of choice into them.
